I think I might try thinning out the bottom of the grass so that the other plants might shine a bit more. Really like how you talk about the process while planting.
You both put some thought in this planter, and it looks really nice. The Pennisetum Fireworks is a stunner. If it ony were hardy in zone 8b! Thanks for showing not only the results, but the whole process of getting this planter ready for fall!
That’s so pretty for fall and the Heuchera can be planted out in the landscape! I have seen some folks tie a brown string very low around the grass just to lift up the lowest part so you can see the surrounding plants…just a thought😊
Have a question where did you get the self watering pot? I like the ones from proven winners but is out of my price range right now. Thank you love your videos
Thanks guys from the UK
Thanks from watching across 'the pond'
Like your demonstrations.
Glad you like them! Thanks for the feedback.

Thinning it out is a good idea. I'll have to see if Rod will do that ;)
Another keeper! Like the step by step process :)
More to come!
Looks great!
Thanks!

You are welcome. Firework is a great color grass. Even as an annual it is enjoyable.
@@gardencrossingsHi Heidi! Is it possible to overwinter Fireworks inside?

That is a good idea. It is versatile. I like to use plants that can be repurposed.

These are Crescent self watering pots. They are less than the Aquapots. We sell them in our garden center if you are local to Zeeland, Mi
@@gardencrossings no unfortunately not close by.. Iam in Ga 😁
the grass will have taken all the root space
Yes it does. We will be cold soon and the planter wont see much more growth after that.
... good morning Heidi and Rod (my new BFFs 🙃)... have a wonderful day. 🙏👩🏼🌾💚🍁🍂 =^..^=
Thank you, that is so kind. Have a beautiful day as well.
