Nemesis Offride 4K Alton Towers Resort

Ever since it opened in 1994, this iconic inverted roller coaster has been one of the UK's very best and most iconic attractions. Despite being built entirely below the treeline to meet planning laws, Nemesis manages to subject its riders to 3Gs, 4 powerful inversions and reaches a top speed of 50 mph over 715 metres of track thanks to its situation in a man-made valley. With its unique location, near-misses and intense layout, it's not hard to see why it's ranked as one of the world's best B&M inverted coasters. As only the 4th ride of its kind to be built, Nemesis was the coaster that truly put Alton Towers on the map, giving the park licence to build other groundbreaking attractions such as Oblivion, the world's first vertical drop coaster and Air (now Galactica), the world's first B&M flying coaster. It's so strange how that first corkscrew looks so different from every angle. Even the way the train travels through it looks different if your looking from the front to the side and from the back.
