I only spent 2 nights in Kaohsiung City but I think I found 2 of the popular things in the city. Baseball and Food. I hit a Chinese Professional Baseball League game. I was surprised to find that they have cheerleaders for baseball here. Why doesn't MLB do this? I also went to a popular night market and had a late night feast.

Cheerleaders at a baseball game? That might be a good idea, it keeps the fans engaged (especially the kids). I like the spirit of their game, it's better than watching a boring game. All the cheering during the game might not work for our major league baseball but it looks like fun.

Brings back great memories living in Taiwan about 10 years ago. Went to many CPBL games in Taoyuan to see the Rakuten Monkeys (formerly Lamigo). Play was on the level of class A, possibly AA minor leagues. Fans there arrive early and remain to the final out and are always spirited. Great stuff and lots of fun.
They definitely get into it.
I used to stay at the 85 Sky Tower. It was called the Splendor before. We hung out on WUFU 4 road, there were always many interesting watering holes to wonder into in that area.

As a baseball purist from Detroit, I despise the use of cheerleaders at baseball games. However, I have been to several baseball games in South Korea and I love it. Just keep the cheerleaders for Asia baseball not America baseball.

It's definitely a different experience if you're retired. But if you gotta work, Thailand nor Philippines cannot even compete with Taipei when it comes to that. Work life balance, opportunity, and pay is top notch in Taipei comparatively. As for having fun though(adventure, people, extracurricular activities, and food), I do enjoy frequent trips across the sea to those places. Very affordable to get there and back on an extended weekend 😁

Greeny I dont want to ruin your appetite but you are going to extreme lengths chasing the best bowl of noodles on the face of the earth in all this Asian cities.
Actually I can probably can make a great noodle soup from instant maruchan and my special ingredients and techniques😀.
To me a city is a city, and noodles are bread of different shape, no need to obsessed about either at our age. Just chill and save your money for the next wife.
I need to spend my money so my kids don’t get it. The noodles are not my top travel priority
@@GreenyTravels that's the best answer I have ever heard, maybe you can tell me how to spend mine because to keep my weight and health I only eat once a day now, and honestly instead of me doing all that hectic travel i rather live vicariously through your videos, because travel like women is 90% struggle and time wasting and maybe 10% net enjoyment if that.
