That said, I am also a westerner... and I really, really feel wrong telling people that surgical procedures should be done to conform to social norms. Especially if it's cross cultural, because as with this case I also believe women with monolids are also beautiful. That said, I have learned as a husband that not everything is about outward appearance, and as I myself do not have monolids and do not live in a society that has any variety in eyelids I cannot begin to imagine what it could be like to be unhappy with that part of yourself. I can imagine, though, if something made me self-conscious and there was a rather simple outpatient surgical procedure that could dramatically transform my appearance almost immediately... then I guess I too would jump at the opportunity to do such a thing. I appreciate you sharing this journey with everyone. It was very interesting and wish you the very best in all your future endeavors!

I have to say being English I love Asian eyes however you have to do what makes you happy they look beautiful before and after they do look much bigger now
i love love love monolids. i have double eyelids. epicanthus tarsalis. there is no guarantee that double eyelids look better on everybody. the same goes for monolids. we love what we don't have. i love the puffy no crease eyes. its so beautiful. i guess we have our preferences. either way i respect people getting their eyes done. if there were a monolid surgery. i'd do it.

I’m from Nepal and the procedure wasn’t that painful. It only hurts a little while they inject the anesthesia otherwise it wasn’t painful for me
