Vietnam, O Cop wooden bridge

I ride my touring bike over a wooden bridge 12km south of Song Cau. The bridge is hand made and is in a constant state of disrepair. There is a 10 cent toll and quite a lot of motorbike traffic, it's just wide enough for 2 bikes to pass each other, many boards are loose, and the whole thing shakes like hell. The handrails are not safe to lean on, but help make it seem more safe.

Thanks for your comment. SEA is ideal for bicycle touring, cheap accommodation available almost everywhere at manageable distances so no need for camping equipment, very cheap & great food, friendly people, interesting culture - probably only real negative is the challenging traffic in and around the cities, but even that doesn't take too much to adjust to

Yep, was lucky enough to see The Cruel Sea many times in Sydney's pubs back in the day. The 2nd song here is 'Wade In the Water' by Ramsey Lewis. Glad someone else got a laugh from my music selection

@@allroundvision That's great! I spent a year in OZ as an exchange student in the mid eighties and always had an affinity for the music (Red Gum, Mentals, Dynamic Hepnotics,The Johnny's etc). Only picked up The Cruel Sea few years ago on Spotify. Great band. My partner is Việt and has been stuck in Sài Gòn. Covid 🤷🏻‍♂️ Good luck on your ride and stay safe 🖐🏼
