When you do the mega compilation of all of your works when you do retire, can you please do a definitive commentary session for every YTP that you did? It would be nice to see the aspect of the behind-the-scenes process of how you made your YTP works the way they were, as it would become a nice full circle of how I discovered your body of work.

Thanks! Getting the video compression looking right was incredibly important to me, so I'm glad that detail was noticed. I'm not super happy with the way the audio compression sounds though. There's a very particular crackly quality to the QuebecGamers audio that I just couldn't figure out how to replicate. Though I did at least get the detail right of making it just a couple frames out of sync, which helps sell it.
The fact that we have a fully animated scene of a cdi variant of a fictional video game franchise from the 90s really shows that Zach proved his point with Gwimbly perfectly.
The rare collaboration between Animation Magic and Traveller’s Tales was originally feared to have killed the momentum of the Gwimbly series, but its middling performance was ultimately overshadowed by the original studio’s 1996 successor, Gwimbly 2.
Did you know: The Gwimbly 2 we got in America was actually a reskin of a Japanese game called "Doki Doki Literature Club?" They thought the Quimbly 2 they got in Japan was far too difficult for an American audience.
@ArsonRaboot If the controls were as sluggish as they were in this title, I don't doubt the reskinned DDLC would have faired better, the actual game engine and controls were way smoother than the first's.

They were never the same game because the entire series was actually originally based on the Worms Odyssey framework from the SNES. A 3D third game of that series was originally planned during the launch of the N64 but then scrapped only to be later repurposed for the first Gwimbly game on the PS1.
“Gwimbly 3: Gwimbly’s revenge” was my personal favorite in the series. I feel like when they remade the first game as “Gwimbly: ReCreamed” it kinda killed the franchise

Yeah, the Gwimbly series has a weird thing with feet. Like how in Paper Gwimbly and the Million year Door, the boss Gonbaba asks you to sniff her royal feet. Weird ass moment in an amazing game!
I remember when this game was first leaked, everyone made memes of it in the early days of TH-cam. I ablosutely loved all the TH-cam Poops people made of these cheesy cutscenes! I can't find the video anymore, but I remember my favorite YTP being one in which Gwimbly killed Mario for toasting the creamed corn.
Seeing Mr. Millipede in his prime again feels so bittersweet. Met that guy at a Food Lion once, nicest little fella, had a great talk about fortune cookies, you wouldn't believe his insight on some things.
The poor video/audio quality, the watermark in the bottom right, even the _pause_ on the background before and after the cutscenes. You completely nailed it and I would’ve 100% believed this was real if I didn’t know the show.
The attention to detail is too good. Especially the weirdly unfitting yet catchy credits music. Even the enemies have that "essence" of the original games to them, like they're a cross between Golden Axe and Peewee's Playhouse

For an average viewer it might seem not as an impressive, but for a true animation and video games connoisseur, such as me, it is impressive beyond belief. You've managed to capture everything: janky platforming and gameplay, obnoxious music, stilted dialogue. And animations! Oh, those animations are perfect! The right amount of unnecessary detail in designs, weird unhuman movements, awkward transitions. This is absolutely perfect!
Any of you remember the YTP where the creamed corn was palette swapped to white, so it looked like Groxia was grabbing a handful of coom? It was a classic. Tho sadly didn't survive the TH-cam purge and I haven't seen anyone reupload it in years... didn't Mr. Roboto make it?
Animeeply Magic was unappreciated in its time. Rightfully so because that's not the Gwimbly we knew, but to think we'd learn to love it decades later ;_;
I remember how the cutscenes were so ridiculously bad. They became YTP sources in the late 2000s. (Jokes aside, this is fantastic of what you did. The animation and graphics style is very accurate to the CDI. Zach would be proud if he saw this!)
