Adam Black I would agree with yashodaan. This man has lost everything-his family, his house, his career (I assume, since he seems to do nothing). I think the scribble thing are his self-destructive habits. They tried to kill him at his lowest point. I’d like to think the last shot means he is over coming them.

I listened to this as I rode on a steady downhill track by the river Aire. A rabbit ran out of my way and a bunch of crows took off. I even saw a buzzard fly low. The sun shone, 30° and the river shone like glass. Beautiful.

Massive props to the guy acting in this video. I think we can all agree that the actors / actresses of music videos don't usually get much attention (unless they are already quite famous), so I'd just like to give a shout-out to the bloke in this video. You can see how well he feels this song and portrays it with his acting. The combination of acting and music got my crying the first time I watched this. Spot on.

I love what they did with this video. They gave the audience much to dig into and the actor really showed emotion, went great with an already amazing song.
This is honestly the best music video I’ve ever watched. The video itself is phenomenal, but the ending honestly made me breakdown-such a powerful scene. This video seems dark and somber but I think the theme is triumph vs. struggle. Addiction is real but this video gives us hope.
watch Hot Water Music's video for Drag My Body... I only say it because brian and chuck doing a little tour made me look into chucks music more but that video is very deep

loosing everything to your inner demons
Discovered this 10 years ago I was furloughed from work and would spend a whole day in the movie theater. They played this during the movie previews/ads and would mention who it was.

Not everybody is born with a voice like Adele, but Brian taught me that anything sung with emotion can be a great song. His voice isn't bad, just gives me that much more confidence to continue singing..

plus: out-of-this world acting and directing. letting some of the environmental sounds but not all of them through was great, and this actor had me by the heartstrings.
criticism: i can't decide whether i wish they had backed the story up a little more or whether it started in the right place. i feel like i didn't get the full effect of the guy's de-evolution.
that all being said...wow. excellent. can't wait to see what the next video is.

This is just how I interpret it mind you, but, the way I see it is that there's this man wallowing and lost in despair. And the dark figure, the personification of his despair, comes to him. The figure appears when he hits rock bottom and can no longer simply coast along. He has to choose whether he will finally give in, which will be the death of him, or fight and choose to live. I hope that was helpful.
