??? Did Berlin get that bad? I am originally from Berlin (Born & raised) but live in the US since 2016... I mean here in the US it totally depends on where... I am always jealous watching Terry's videos as here in New Orleans you can't ride like that, street conditions are horrendous and you have a gun in your face in a heartbeat (Which happened to me numerous times) behaving like that with car drivers. I just was in Miami, and riding there felt like a fucking dream, there I could full-on traffic bomb.
Haha, was thinking the same, I got fined a few times here in Switzerland for ridining bike on (empty) sidewalk or (again completely empty) pedestrian zone :)
I like the sense of speed you got in this footage and the unique point of views. That's one fast bike! I'm trying to get the same motion blur look in my videos, but might need to get some neutral density filters. Do you use any? If so, which type? Cheers
Can I ask you something? I was in NY only once in my life for merely 4 days, all of which I spent on cycling. I rode the way everyone was riding. Crossing red lights like everyone else in front of NYPD, without a single problem. I saw a press article that NYPD is actually issuing fines for red light jumping cyclists. Is it a common thing to be caught by police in NY for cycling traffic infractions?
Fluid and smooth as ever Terry 👌 Do NYPD ever pull cyclists for occasionally going through a red? Over here (England) everyone hates cyclists, even the ones who stop for lights
Former New Yorker here. Whether or not you get pulled over really depends on where you are in NYC, and what type of cop you encounter. Most of them (and I mean MOST of them) don't care at all, nor do they have the time. It's difficult enough pulling a car over let alone a cyclist who can flee very easily. In my experience it's the cops on bikes you have to worry about...they tend to have grudges against other cyclists, and they were the only cops I ever personally had issues with while riding in NYC.
because im dyslexic i read the title on my phone alert as "TATUM gravel bike vs ny"; i really thought you followed tatum tearing ny a new one on a gravel bike...

I was in Berlin last summer. There is also a lot of traffic and I felt how fun it was to cut through traffic. I can feel the vibe.
I just love the comfort of a gravel bike. If I had to get rid of all my bikes and just keep one, the gravel bike is an easy choice.
To destroy your back damn right, suspension mtb is better bro.
@@imprisonedone8054full suspension is a terrible option unless you're eating rocks... there's a reason no one has suspension on a velodrome

I gravel bike every day for work doing courier shit. Fucking love it. Gravel bikes are basically every bike I ever had in the past combined.
Los ciclistas de NY son el espíritu de las calles de esa gran ciudad
3:50 lol. If I did that in Berlin would have cost me 100 eur atleast. Riding a bike in NYC seems like a dream ❤
Car drivers seem to be much less aggressive compared to Germany.
