Just watched "Laapataa ladies". The movie is Simply Superb. The scene between Deepak & Phool in the farm just took it to the next level. He is so vulnerable in that scene and yet he goes ahead with it. The Overall narrative & storyline is so good. This movie is much much better than the big budget South Indian movies and their remakes which have no sense in them - just big loud music, over the top action & tons of over acting. No nuance at all. It is high time that audiences start valuing & supporting quality cinema over big budget loud movies with over the top acting.
This movie shows early 20's when mobile phones were just arrived in Indian Villages..... For your kind information there is still dowry system in Indian Villages....
please watch asur. I'm sure Miguel uncle will love it. It's one of the best crime thrillers of India. Also it would be great if dadu also watches it as there are a lot of hinduism references
@@ChaatNChat I guess it's ok to do so if you are watching a Hindi movie. This happened with one of my aunt, she got lost in the city i lived in during a visit to the hospital few years back, although she herself was a grandmother then. My uncle just left her and started for the village. Luckily she was found by a man, he somehow he knew someone in my father's village and called us to get her. Otherwise she would have got lost. She was not having any money, phone and she was not even literate. It happened in 2014 i guess, very realistic movie for me 😂😂😂

I can understand why this movie failed so badly in cinemas😂😂. They're showing what should've been shown in 2004. Zen G and millennial ladies will get offended. 😂 And women in different religion still do Veil but they do it by choice. And all women have now android or I phones. 40% of India's total population use Smart Phones and others use cell phones. So they would just contact their hubbies. So it's not a surprise that women folk couldn't relate to this film.
Misogynists like yourself should stop acting like you speak for us women. Nobody made you our representative. Various factors are responsible for art house movies not doing as well in cinema halls these days. "Women not being able to relate to it" is not one of them. And no. No matter how much patriarch incels convince yourselves, veils, ghunghats and hijabs are never a personal choice. They are all always imposed by design or though conditioning. Go suckle on some cow udder in Haryana. That's where u belong.
This is not the true representation on our indian village, as i am from a small village from Rajasthan and this series making fun of all of villagers like stereotyping everyone. Any situation in this movie cannot be in real life in that era too. Shameful act by Bollywood. Panchayat is pretty close but this not at all.
Many people liked this film but I couldn't connect to the way this film has been shot. Also I felt Phool could have gone back to her own home even if she didn't know her husband's address.
I think you don't actually know village life. That's why you could not connect. I was posted for my job in railways in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Not trying to reason out the to make you connect to it! Just saying as stupid as sounds it was still justified from her part!
