- "Two Bunch Palms" - Track #1 from "Three Phase", a Tangerine Dream concert video (filmed at the Paramount Theatre, Seattle, October 25, 1992). Most of the music can be found on the excellent "220 Volt Live" CD. This was also released on DVD as "Live in America 1992", though I've read that it's edited somewhat.
Please excuse the less-than-stellar quality - the source tape is an old VHS tape.
Superb guitarist Zlatko Perica. One of the best electric guitar players of all time. And the best musician who has ever played in Tangerine Dream.

There are people who want to play and then there are those who do! Virtuosity is not something just anyone has. Their playing has long established a standard for which others can only dream and that dream is a Tangerine Dream! I absolutely love this album. It will sail your soul on the most lovely adventure. Find it, buy it and be immersed in what is perfection!
A lot of this so called ' perfection ' is pre recorded or programmed ... so what you are saying is only partially true .
TD had their true heydey in the 70's before everything went digital
@@scitsalcorypIt is still music composed by Edgar. And the addition of the guitars and sax has added an entire different dimension to it. It may be different from 15-20 years prior, but what band doesn’t evolve. I prefer how they sounded from the mid 80’s on…we all have differing tastes.
This was epic. What a tour and i was a part of it. Ill never forget this journey with Jerome and Edgar Froese in 92.

When I discovered this video, I wondered Who was The guitarrist The played with tangerine dream. I seemed incredible: The feeling, technique and way to play, a 80 electric guitar sound that I love It. I listened a lot of guitarrist but few like zlatko.great!

Perica later went back to Switzerland , gave himself the artist alias Slädu and worked with various Swiss artist. There he also works as a successful event Manager.

The fashion of the era is hilarious. So SO early 80s/90s Euro baggy and the hair and everything.
The video is on dvd now. I've had it since 2006. Dvd and cd. Tangerine Dream. Live in America/1992. Bought it in HMV.
Mr. Bill Hunter Reilly: this dvd recording of this concert is just to dark to watch. Cd is great. Vhs version is totally watchable than the dvd (from 976-CREOLEMAN).

It begins the same way on Two Bunch Palms...at the exact moment where it fades to Zlatko Perica starting the guitar riff. That particular song is identical...and it is also all in 5.1 sound...even the cd. The quality is much better than vhs. Glad to be of help there. Great band. Great music...Logos (The Keep version) is boss. I wouldnt sell my laserdisc of The Keep for any amount of money. Peace. :)
@BillReilly1979 I must admit the original "Logos" was never one of my favorite TD tracks, but I do like "The Keep" version that you recently pointed out, so thank you for that! Not to mention that it finally led me to a channel (TheBigRonoski) which actually posted the FULL movie less than 3 months ago. O joy! I will have to watch it before it gets taken down, as seems to be the way of all the good stuff on here...

@BillReilly1979 Thanks for the info; I will have to pick up a copy of the TD live DVD for sure now. And I don't blame you for not getting rid of "The Keep"... I've never seen it myself but am (still) waiting for it to show up on DVD to see if it's as good as it's reputed to be! :)
Thanks. I didn't think it was anywhere as a studio recording, now I know. I am using the song in a short film and the live one works fine. Just thought it could sound a little better as studio.

@BillReilly1979 Wow, thanks for the heads-up! Obviously the name-change fooled me. Mind you, I just checked out Amazon and one reviewer claims that it's edited somewhat, especially this particular song, of which the Miramar intro is chopped out. Still, if we can get the majority of the concert in better quality, that's not too much of a loss, really... ;)

I wish I could say 'yes' to that, for what fan wouldn't want that tune in his/her collection? But apparently all the songs on "220 Volt Live" (except the Hendrix cover, naturally) were brand-new material, created for their 1992 tour. Still, who's to say a studio version won't show up on one of their "Booster" albums in the future? Keeping my fingers crossed...

Actually, I made this particular copy from the original VHS tape, not the LaserDisc, but yup, it was released by Miramar in 1992. :)

I'll put it simply...if you are a TD fan..it has their best film score. The version of Logos in ithe film is far, far better than in 92 live...and other tracks in the film are quite simply some of their best ever.
Type "Deadly Silver Crosses" into youtube search. First video on top of list. Play it very loud. You will hear the difference in this version of Logos.
Listen...and hear Logos how it was meant to be heard. Masterful.
So does the song "Two Bunch Palms" not exist as a studio recording?
