I guess you can't compare both on any given level. I like both for the music they created. TD had more output in a period of 30? years. Their Concept was more about a Thema that strechted into the universe of Edgars Mind. Their music appealed more to the "human being". They didn't do your usual 3:30 Radio Songs at all. Their music has the potential to maybe someday be re-recorded by other bands. The tracks had good ideas but you could straighten them quite a bit and even make parts of their music more timeless in 2019. Kraftwerk on the other Hand is part of the german mind and soul. Their robotic yet warm and analogue sound blends it perfectly together and their songs get citated here and there. You can't make a Kraftwerk Song sound more modern in 2019. They created timeless pieces and even optimized their own catalogue (some for worse).
Along with Isao Tomita ("Snowflakes Are Dancing"), Tangerine Dream broke ground on the electronic music genre. Both were instrumental in creating the giant New Age sound so popular today. The original TG trio were magicians with the superb blending of electronics and music. Even without them, the newer members are up to task to keep the Dream alive.
I downloaded the whole "Snowflakes" album on to my iPod along with several other new age albums from Kitaro and Andraeus Vollenweider to listen to while I fall asleep with studio headphones. All the Snowflake songs are Tomita's arrangements on early synthesizer written by Claude de Bussey. I love "Arabesque #1" and "Clair de Lune".....cheers!

Hey I bought "Snow Flakes Are Dancing".....but I only played it twice, that's the difference.

偶に立ち寄るレコード店で、タンジェリン・ドリームのアルバムを探すがなかなか見つからない……これまでに入手したのが『フェードラ』、『ルビコン』の２作だけとは寂しい限りだ。『ストラトスフィア』は既に発売されているらしいが、残念ながら馴染みのレコード店には置いてない。取り寄せ注文をするのも癪なので、吉祥寺や新宿へでも出かけ探すつもりでいる。
