This is amazing. Every time you post a video I learn something new. I hear you about the black ink spill. I backhanded a bottle of magenta ink across my new desk and onto the rug. Thankfully quick thinking got up up before it totally stained everything. I love the last one...the black and blue pattern.
Thanks for the rice paper suggestion. I do shibori eco-printing on papers and fabrics, but have not tried it with rice paper. I don't do geometrics but random, angled folds bundled with plant materials that have been dipped in an iron or rust solution with a soy milk mordant. Then I steam them. Not all papers stand up well, but I have some rice paper so I'll try it.
That sounds very interesting I hope the rice paper works. Some brands are better than others. I recently bought some off Temu it dissolved in my hands when I dipped it in water
@@TheShelleyStudio Thanks for the warning. I bought my rice paper from Temu and had not yet used it. Probably would not stand up to steaming unless I wanted to make porridge.
I love this . And blue and black.
Lovely technique
I love those colors can you tell? Thank you
Love thank you for sharing!!
You are so welcome!

Thank you. 😀 I think the only black you can see from my spill are the legs of the table. They were very absorbent
Love this! ❤
Thanks
Beautiful patterns and helpful video! I was just trying shibori on paper today for the first time. It's a lot of fun!
Thank you I’m glad it helped
