I have a '23 Khaos 850 165... I ride in California where the snow is set-up more often than not and is often crusty. That thing was a pain in the butt to ride. It either wanted to be on both skis or completely on its side. Even on the couple of deeper days I got (not powder, just soft), it was still difficult to get it to balance on one ski. I ordered the Elevate kit and it'll be here in a few days. I had emailed Ice Age asking if their QS3 shocks up front were the cure, they said no, try the Elevate kit. Half the price, okay, I'll try it. FWIW with the 165 I don't have trouble with the nose coming up unless I want it to even on steep climbs. I tightened up the RTS and have the FTS fairly soft. I picked up a new Catalyst too (154)... I'm hoping it'll be easier to ride, and if the spindles help the Khaos it gets to stay as a backup sled... otherwise its history.
I've ridden a 155 Pro and Khaos each for at least a year. I prefer the planted pro in good snow, don't care for the khaos nose lift but I'm getting used to it. I prefer the khaos on thin snow. The pro is hard to hold the edge. This is a challenge when transitioning onto crust and such. I'm guessing your comment about tracking on side hill means you've lost that geometry that makes the khaos so easy to get on edge on crappy snow. For me, I think the answer is a shorter limiter strap and/or stiffer FTS to keep the nose down. For now just riding my Khaos as is. Great sled.
Nope. It kept it made it more planted like a pro rmk I find. It’s between and khaos and pro now. Which is awesome. It still can be fully wheelie mode if ya make it do that

@@crodles Yes, I recognize you. Always see your handle as Crocodiles.
@@AkatarawaJapan pog, ive had this handle ever since 2011-12 and im 20 now, so 10-9 years now
Did you ride prior to adding the spindles? I think you converted to a Khaos correct? Limit strap in the Khaos position for the little longer position?
I converted pro to khaos. Khaos limiter strap. I had stock spindles then did the elevate kit
@@stokedmountainadventures Nice - Noticeable difference by adding the spindles?
do the spindles make you wheelie more being that they pick your front end up higher?
Nope. It kept it made it more planted like a pro rmk I find. It’s between and khaos and pro now. Which is awesome. It still can be fully wheelie mode if ya make it do that
You ever get tired of blipping your throttle
hahaha. blipping-necessary sometimes but you'd swear dudes get paid to blip.
What’s your ski width set to with the ice age?
I have one bushing on each side of ski
