This year was easily one of the best Megaplex events to date! They didn't just update the venue but also brought the unique events with it like the Sunday night fursuit parade, the luncheon, the dessert social and such. Having been to FWA this year and having had a blast there, one think Megaplex excels at in my opinion is in its entertainment choices; there is always something going on from panels to meet and greets, special gathering, gaming tournaments and such. It feels like attending the furry version of a theme park; something is happening somewhere and you have to see it. Like furries finding a piano and suddenly gathering around singing songs, or playing keepy uppy with balloons. Even the guests of honor were a blast to meet and interact with and were always present throughout the con! Though I second the "pre-reg punishment via line-con". Like imagine people paying for the silver, gold and up options just to wait the same time if not more than the regular attendees. That somehow was done better at past Megaplexes so I hope it gets fixed this year. There was just this amazing vibe throughout the con that even spread through the hotel staff; I talked to people who attended other cons that told me that they were blown away by how the hotel staff just loved our presence and even participated by wearing ears, taking pictures, and asking about our fursonas. But most importantly, the con was able to succeed despite having to change charities months priors after backlash AND adjusting the rules of the con because the local mandates. Those things made people believe Megaplex would be a bust this year, but closing ceremonies proved that wrong. It shows that even with the things going on with the state, we are very resilient and we appreciate that everyone came to show support and solidarity! Thanks for visiting us! And it was great to have seen ya again!
For my first convention, i loooved megaplex I've been trying to go for years, and im so glad i could this year 🎉 i miss it so much, and i saw you around and loved your suit! I can see my self comming the fursuits parade at 9:05 i was the halloween colored BatDragon 🎉 Anyhoo everything was fantastic, the hotel was super big so nothing felt cramped, im so excited for next year, and everyone was so nice, I ran into new and old friends ❤
This was my first Megaplex and definitely won't be my last! I'm already planning on coming back a day early next year and volunteering to help with registration since, yeah, it was the only real bummer I had the whole time. It was crazy how big the con space was. There were several furs I knew were there but never even saw because there was so much space, and so many good events and panels to go to. I don't know where all the time went! BTW, I was just a few fursuiters after you in the parade as Enzo, the butterfly tiger!
This year was awesome especially with my new suit and being in tower one was very convenient. I was the blue eastern dragon with the 6ft long tail roaming around the con
Man, that "group" with Bandit, Bluey, and Bingo riding piggy back at ~ 28:15 made my night. (edit) I've heard Bandit gives the best of hugs (Sorce being Beta)
Awesome looks like a lot of fun! I recommend Portland Retro Gaming Expo here in Portland, Oregon. I know it is not a furry convention but it is my fav gaming convention as it not only has tons of consoles to play but has a ton of Arcade uprights and pinball machines which 2 of my pinball machines will be there in the pinball line up! It is coming up October 13-15th so maybe not this year but maybe next year would love to see you and come by and say hi to me in the RetroCade repair booth. ^=^
