@@linuslucke3838 as long as they are in rendered chunks they interact with the environment. when you unload them and reload them at a later time you can suspend them in the air

@@linuslucke3838 correct with the dimension changing, in that scenario the pearl would despawn. But as long as the pearl is being loaded it would not despawn, and dying would not change that

@@crossroads198x you learn something everyday. I thought they checked if the player died between now and moment off throw(which would make sense)but it apperantly only despawns right at your death and not later if I understood you correctly.

He needs to kill all mobs for monsters hunted, killing it with beds doesn't count as a kill

As a bed was not ment to be used as a weapon, using one doesn't count as your kill (you can see that the death message isn't specifing who blew up the bed) but it's an enviromental kill. You need to kill the dragon to get the advantsments "free the end" and "monsters hunted" so you need to finish the dragon yourself.
