- How to install bypass on Alpine radio. This bypass is smaller and better than the PAC TR7. It will not deprogram or loose memory.
Green: parking brake
Yellow: foot brake
Blue: remote turn on
Black: ground

Awesome video. Question? I have the RP4.2-TY11 radio replacement and SWC interface already connected to the radio harness. I understand that the by-pass blue/yellow wire connects directly to the blue/yellow on the radio harness. The blue/white wire I have a question on. Since radio harness is connected to the radio replacement & SWC interface should I snip the blue/white wire and connect directly to the bypass blue/white wire (as shown on the video) or should I just tie-in the bypass blue/white wire to the blue/white wire on the radio harness. In other words keep the blue/white bypass, radio harness and radio interface all connected? Hope I didn’t confuse you :-/

I have an alpine ilx-w650 but it dosen't have yellow black, what can should I do?
dont need to use the yellow coming from the bybass. cut it off. only the green wire to the parking brake input of the alpine

So what happened if my ilx 207 don't have yellow/black wire where connect my bypass yellow wire
tape off the yellow on the bestbypass, not used . Connect the green to the alpine yellow/blue and DO NOT connect the Maestro's 2 brake related wires to anything ones LT green the other is yellow/black. Blue to Blue/white on headunit. Black to black gnd.
What about the pioneer wire harness? Is it the same?

@@round1a1round Yeah, and without any bypasser by attaching the brake wire with fitting bolt to activate it and you can add your phone and enjoy ;). Note: bluetooth will gray out again once you shut off your car. So if you change your phone later or wanna add extra devices, you need to do it again.
Doing ilx-w650 install now. Also, pac swi-cp2 steering wheel interface and pac tr7 bypass. Wondering what the correct thing to do with the blue foot brake wire because of what this video said. Guy said you don’t need it for alpine then he said you do and it goes to yellow black which this alpine unit does not have. So...? Lol

Question…. I installed my bypass and still don’t have access to settings to access my crossover. I used the exact switch in the video. My alpine is the newer harness that doesn’t have yellow and black for foot brake. With that said, I capped the yellow on the TR4. Is there a change I can make to fix the issue?
Get the tr-1, the tr4 didn't work for me either

I have the same alpine model. If you don't have that bypass he's talking about, some functions won't work on radio.
They will work, you just have to be parked with the E brake on.

Blue is remote well that could be remote control could be remote for the trigger for The Back-up Camera remote what?
Remote in car audio terms means remote turn on wire or remote trigger. I think the video was quite clear about that.
Remote means 12v positive voltage is turned on only when head unit is turned on. If you supply a constant 12V like you connect a wire directly to the positive pole of the car battery then its not called remote turned on.

I have alpine ilx-w650... But doesn't have the black and yellow cable... Where do I connect it... The cable the supost to go there...?
only use green for parking brake. dont use yellow from bypass

Jason S you can't just ground the parking brake wire because the radio will need to know that you have release the parking brake and installed the parking brake every single time you cycle the key the radio will know so you have to cycle the key on and off and fool the radio into thank you have release the parking brake or install it bunch of crap isn't it we are over smarting our self with technology
@@BOOTL3GAU Basically it looks for you to apply the parking brake of with an on-off-on sequence before unlocking certain features of the head unit.
If you really didn't want to spend the 10 bucks you could wire it to a momentary push button switch.
waste of time!!! My alpine does NOT! have a yellow black wire!!!
My alpine doesn't have the YELLOW black.. INEw960HDMI.. but the bypass I have says you don't use the yellow black black wire on my model alpine... Whats hilarious is on my SONY DVD player all I did was ground one of the wires on the radio and it worked didn't need a bypass
The Halo Alpine cannot be grounded permanently. It will work only if it sees a ground dignal after the radio is turned on .
