This is such a cool piece. I can't imagine how long molding all those flowers took, but I want More More More! Just so neat. I like the rose gold accent-- would have been pretty with just that and the white too. Love that you're sharing your skills with your niece!
Lol...thanks, Melissa! It took quite a while to mold them all but I kinda want more too lol Might add more before I post it for sale...at least enough to help hide that strange bulge. I like your piece. You asked for a comment about the colour for the flowers and personally I would keep it all the same colour . But seeing your little niece starting to learn with you was amazing, little nieces are always special!
I kept going back and forth about the color of the flowers. I decided to make them gold because all of the other pieces that I have seen that are doing this kind of design are all one color...so I though I'd try something a little different. Maybe I will try one in all one color to see which one sells the best lol

Lol...I'm sure you have great taste😉 I thought about doing the same on the opposite side of the dresser but then I thought about the fact that in most rooms at least one side will be up against the wall and no one would ever see it but I may add more to the front before I list it. Maybe some to cover that bump on the 2nd drawer...not sure yet. Thanks for watching!

@@eboneescreativity Another aspect of your work that I really admire is how you include your niece in the projects. That is incredibly affirming for her and fun for you I'm sure. Maybe someday if and when she is up for it you could do a double challenge with her like with matching end tables. She does her thing paint wise and you do yours😁. Filming would be a challenge too🤪. Have you ever done kitchen cabinets? I may have that in my future and could use encouragement and tips for sure!
@@katharinecox5200 It's definitely been giving her a sense of pride & keeping her behavior in check for sure! If she's being naughty she knows I won't allow her to help out. My other 2 nieces helped on the project Im currently working on lol...apparently it takes a village for me to get flips done these days😂😂 I will ask to see if any of them want to do a challenge. I did a challenge video with my mom before which is also on this channel. 🙂 Yes, I have done kitchen cabinets quite a few times. I love the money that they bring but I absolutely hate doing kitchen cabinets lol and I do not know how I could possibly film that because it takes entirely too much time to do but I will try to see what I can do next time I have a cabinet customer

This is really really NICE! I love how you share your oopses so we can learn from them and what a great way to challenge yourself by using what's on hand. I love how you did the cherry blossoms and I want more going across the piece or a little branch worth on the other side . It would take a week to do all the molds.lol. I've been watching and learning and then, slowly, making progress repairing and painting my own furniture. I did finally find a long legged little side table to go all whimsical on for our spare bedroom 😄

...But at one point I was scared to do everything that I've done on this channel so far so whimsy is coming soon 😂
I did decide to add more cherry blossoms to this dresser. Initially I thought at least one side will probably end up against a wall if it's placed in someone's room so why bother...but I do want to hide that hump on the drawer so more cherry blossoms will help to do that. Maybe I'll do an update video at some point on changes that I make to pieces after I am done filming.

Just wondering why you didn't use tape to keep your flowers in place until they were set up. I can't say I like the gold flowers. In my opinion, it makes them look to bold and on the cheap side. They would look much more delicate if left white. Other than that, you did a great job on this dresser.
Thank you! I did not want tape stuck to E6000. I felt it would cause a bigger mess. White would definitely have been more delicate but bold is moreso my thing. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi Ebonee before painting wood piece what sanding paper should I use ... and whats the best paint you use for good coverage that doesn't clog up.....I love this piece u have done it looks great ....if I was to bye 1 of your piece do you send over sea England.....I really want 1 of your furniture flips ... thank u
Hi Becci! I have no idea if it would be possible to ship overseas but I will definitely look into it! If I find that it is feasible to do, I will put the information in an upcoming video. Thanks so much for inquiring! I'm so glad you love my pieces😉
If the wood is in mostly good condition, I'd use a 220 grit sandpaper then paint. If it's in not so great condition, I start with a 120 grit sandpaper then if that isnt working I go down to 80. If it is working, I go up to 220 grit after the 120. After 220 if there are still very minor imperfections, you can go up to 400. My favorite paint is Wise Owl. It is very thin and self levels so you don't have to be a pro to use it. It is also ready to spray straight out of the container & no top coat is required. I use a lot of Fusion paint on my channel just because the shop that I get my Wise Owl from is about 45 minutes away and the shop that sells Fusion is about 3 minutes away. Fusion is not a bad paint either and it has a beautiful array of colors but it has a bit of a learning curve to use it in my opinion. If you watch my older videos you will see that I started out with Waverly chalk paint. I think that is a good option for beginners because it is very thick and forgiving as far as brush strokes are concerned but I would not recommend it if you want to spray your paint. Hope that helps!
