Once you see the enemy…you can’t un-see them. The truth is enduring, but first you need to wise up.

Notice that Pope Francis stays mute when Catholic faith and traditions are joked about. It’s Cardinal Burke and many others who do many wonderful things to uplift us in our faith and love and speak out against heresy

I left 3 cellphones and a camera in the bus in Berlin. I got the phones back from Lost and Found. The finder kept the camera as a reward. I bless him always when I remember the incident, because my business contacts and the pics of several years were on the phones! 😂❤

I just found this channel yesterday and subscribed. You are right about the attack on nuns. It is so widespread, there is even a term for the entire genre of film that does this: “nunsploitation”. I myself went to a high school run by the Sisters of Charity and they were really wonderful, so the topic hits home for me as well.
As for what to do about it, what I have found in America is that the real problem is not your enemies but your friends. It is not the people who oppose religion, but those who claim to embrace it and then do nothing. We are being subjected to what we are willing to tolerate-and it seems we are willing to tolerate almost anything. Indeed, mindless (or, to use your term, “idiotic”) tolerance is often touted as the supreme virtue. For that matter all virtues have been subjected without significant opposition to perverse reinterpretation.
Concerning your speculation about Russia-no, it is not the bastion of Christianity. Even Stalin found the churches useful (the term of art is “useful idiots”) when Russia was being invaded, to drum up sentiment, and cannon fodder, for the Motherland. The Patriarch of Moscow these days is an ex-KGB operative and essentially works for Putin. He will excommunicate anyone opposed to the terrorist war crimes Russia is committing in Ukraine by the hundreds of thousands. You could call his new variation on the theme “canon fodder to cannon fodder”.
And as for Tucker Carlson running ads for Moscow’s Potemkin subway or other carefully selected attractions, a lot of us here regard him as seditious at a minimum. When he said, “I hope Russia wins,” I personally think he crossed the line into overt treachery. He is definitely not what some people think he is, or want to believe he is-and I say that as a lifelong conservative disgusted by the antics of leftist nutcases. Once again, beware your friends, or seeming friends, more than your openly declared enemies. They can be much more dangerous.

Your government is guilty of treachery if you are from the US and the UK govt is too. Yes, know your enemy; it isn't Russia. US facilitated a coup of Ukraine govt in 2014 and ever since Ukraine has been shelling Donbas region of Russians/Russian speakers. TC was blown away by Russian subways and general cleanliness. What does New York offer (no measure of goodness alone, I do realise)? Our censorship outside Silicone Valley still rivals Pravda and Stasi during the Cold War. Julian Assange is in a gulag.

This hatred of Russia is very disappointing, it is irrational and actually quite dangerous. Russia has a right to exist and to defend itself from evil. Good bless that nation. Tucker Carlson is also a fine man who deserves much credit.

I'm not sure when the rot set in but as far as I'm concerned it was the fifties, just after WW2. The angry young men movement, challenging old ideas and supposedly making society more equal. They tore down social barriers and mocked the upper and middle classes. It spilled over to comedy with satire such as "That was a week that was" "The 1948 show" "Monty Python" religion was questioned and often mocked by the progressive intellectuals.
Moving on two generations we have descended in to Nihilism or the rejection of all religious and moral principles, in the belief that life is meaningless, so we can do exactly what we want, when we want and how we want. Just look at social media and also the pursuit of unending pleasure. Netflix's mind boggling boring films. Amazon Prime giving you all you desire with free postage and even more trash movies.
Our society today is of instant pleasure and moving on to the next one. There are exceptions but not many in the West.
Each generation has been spoiled and given everything they want but sadly nothing they need. A me me me generation of selfish brats. Of course it doesn't mean everyone because I'm sure there are many exceptions.

It all depends on the situation but in general we should always challenge those who mock our religion.
Rather than getting into a debate, have one or two rebuttals which make a point and infer no further discussion is to be had. GK Chesterton must have many quotes to take the stride out of your typical arrogant atheist who feels he needs to educate us superstitious types.
