Hammon's smug, haughty, disgusting demeanor in this interview is all you have to witness to determine she's a despicable person who is lying through her teeth. She asked Hamby if she planned the pregnancy and Hamby answered she did not. She then told Hamby she didn't use necessary precautions to prevent her pregnancy. When Hamby said, "So you're trading me because I'm pregnant, Hammon said, "What do you expect me to do?" The leagues Collective Bargaining Agreement states "Any team can trade any player for any legitimate reason or no reason at all. But that reason can never be on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, parental status, or pregnancy status." Clearly, Hammon lied in this interview. A two game suspension was a slap on the wrist. The owners should fire Hammon and the Aces' GM immediately and discipline the league's higher-ups. I hope Hamby wins her lawsuit or gets a settlement that awards her all of the compensation the lawsuit specifies. Fortunately, for Hamby, her L.A. Sparks coach, Curt Miller, is the polar opposite of Hammon. He is treating Hamby with the kindness and respect she deserves, and she played every game in the season, just as she would have if she had been allowed to stay with the Aces.
