Resurrection of a 1974 Vespa Rally 200

On the anniversary of what would have been the 16th Big Easy Weekender Scooter Rally here's a look at the raffle scooter from the 6th BEW held in New Orleans.
This 1974 Femsatronic Rally 200 was the big prize back in 2013. Its been sitting for some amount of years from a blown clutch side seal and and full of ethanol fuel that did a number on this ol girl.
I strip and rebuild the engine, and bring her back to life to triumphantly traverse the pot hole laden streets of the Big Easy once more.

Some of the best scooter content on the web. Your videos aren't so much instructional as they are like going up the alley to hang out with your buds. Still a lot of good information and a running commentary on the victories and small frustrations to be found working on Vespas. Really a pleasant way to spend a half hour or so. Thinners to clean tank. Pool acid to clean rust. Red etch primer of best quality to stop rust. 15 years of experience 😂
Test etch primer with gasoline first. South africa etch primer works well. Even after 6 years. No issue

Eventually getting my 75 Rally Femsa up n running after I layed it up in 2013. Binning the 6v Femsa system and going 12v with an uprated engine mossy sport 225 😊
