The layout of category/products is intended to keep things comparative and clear. Please also keep in mind that these videos do not portray regular use of skincare!! I often pump out extra product to display, compare, or test (for pH, etc) in order to give better reviews. All PR is disclosed in accordance with FTC regulations. And lol at all the bifida, indeed! My sister was looking through my empties the other day and asked if I even knew how to buy products that don't have the word "peptide" on them.
I kind of mumbled back that my tretinoin doesn't have peptides.

I like the compressed sheet masks with the eye flaps - I quickly cut them off after I hydrate the mask, then place them on my jaw sort of under my earlobes, if that makes sense. That extends the mask a bit to a part of my face that is usually visible (I wear my hair up most of the time), which I really appreciate.

@@AliceintheRabbitHole Frugality led me to the discovery. I cut them off after getting toner in my eyes like you did, but I didn't want to waste the toner I'd put on them so I just stuck them there and then it turned out to work nicely. It's good to be a cheapskate!

After about a year of consistent use, I swapped out the Manyo serum for the RNW. Several bottles in, I can say that I don't think I will ever want to give up the RNW. It's a perfect fit for me. It took away all the irritation from my skin and I thought I wasn't going to do anything about it. me, because it is very light and for example, peptides and bifida work very well for you. Hi Alice, since the Isntree onion gel cream helps with inflamed skin during breakout, I will add it into my cart to combat inflammation. I will use toner pads with exfoliating surface just for a thorough cleanse and hydrating toner with cotton pads and Korean masks when I am lazy to prep up. 😊 Tranenexamic acid serum really helps with the further pore inflamed area and the hyperpigmentation is noticably toned down.

Also I remembered a few days ago that I haven't updated you yet on my DermaV laser! Last Friday I got my second round of laser treatment. I did look at my before-after shots when I first came into the dermatologist office and before my first laser treatment and now, and the change is subtle. Maybe a 10-20% reduction in overall background redness. I'm still healing from the second treatment (though downtime is even less than IPL) so we'll see how that pans out in the next few weeks!
When I went in on Friday, I was healing from a stress breakout on the left side of my face and my dermatologist asked if I sit next to a window or drive a lot. Well, I always wear sunscreen when I go out, but not always when I work from home. And uh... my desk sits immediately to the right of a window, and recently I began opening it during the day so I can ensure the plants on my desk get enough sun. So I've been inadvertently getting a ton of sun on the left side of my face without SPF - the side that broke out like crazy when I got stressed. Don't forget your sunscreen, kids.
And a small update: I recently began using a Prequel ointment/serum - the one that's 20% glycerin - and it's lovely! I've been using it at night before moisture to juice my skin barrier and so far so good? It smells vaguely herbal, but not bad. It isn't sticky like heavy glycerin products I've used in the past, such as Experiment's serum. In fact, it almost feels like a powdery silicone product without the silicone? It's so weird to describe! Definitely works though and very lovely!

Hi Alice -😃 Interesting thought from reddit about someone watching empties videos only - never even thought of that. I love toner pads - great for lazy days or to just overuse a product, lol. I just picked up a travel size of the Anua Toner (just because I have so many toners, and they take so long to go through). Honestly the toners that are 150 ml or 200 ml - seem like forever to get through. I have some of the Estee Lauder Night Repair - samples - but I don't reach for that anymore. Off topic, sort of - I purchased the iNNBEAUTY PROJECT
Extreme Cream - it is a 50ml - regular size night cream, but I swear that there must be much more in that bottle or it reproduces itself - because it is taking forever to get through, this is such a beautiful cream though, just in love with the texture. Do you usually have many products open at the same time? I know you will have a lot of products opened because you are testing, but do you open a few from the same category at the same time? Do you pay attention to how long you have a product opened? Please don't judge - but lip products get me sucked in so easily - I just purchased the Honey Milk lip oil from A'pieu - I love it! omgosh! yes - sucker here - too weird, I just tried a chin lift mask last week, it was just a no name brand from my local drug store - I had never seen it before, but I use the foot and hand masks from the same line and thought Wow - I need that! Yup - I'm a sucker! Omgosh, I need to stop typing - have a lovely evening, Alice! 🌸💮🌸

Can you recommend any good spray bottles? I love your idea of pressed sheet masks! So cost effective! and I use it with my new Medicube booster pro with booster mode.

Alice, I completely overuse the word epic and I’m a Gen Xer!! Also don’t even get me started on all this silly things I have bought because they were on some crazy sale. In fact, I did it today I bought a color of blush that I hang almost entirely convinced it will make me look like a clown, but it was such a good deal. It was like $7 at Marshall’s, and it was a Halo product so we’ll see. thanks for these empties. I need a new tranexemic acid product since I’m almost out of my Dearskin. Would you recommend the Haruharu wonder? (that autocorrected to horror horror wonder, 😂😂)

I want to know what blush! I still love blush, even though I’ve moved into more natural blush looks…the appeal is strong. They’re just so pretty!
I really, really like the HW so far, and for two reasons: one is that they actually disclose the percentage of TXA, and secondly that it’s not combined with AHA or other strong actives. It’s finally a way to incorporate that ingredient for those of us with sensitive skin!
All that said, I wouldn’t say everyone necessarily needs it. If you already have a TXA product that works, you may not need this one as well. Hope that helps!

@@AliceintheRabbitHole the blush is a liquid/ cream Halo brand blush in a tube. The color is terra-cotta, which is not even a very good color for me. 🤣 they also had a Kevin Aucoin lip pencil for $7.99. Usually sells for $24.95! I’m just about out of the Dear skin TA and I like to have one in my repertoire so I think I’m going to try the one you mention. My skin has not been liking actives as much as it once did. Thank you, Alice!

Been thinking of getting the Tir Tir milky essence. I need moisture, but Boy Oh Boy Do I Miss my Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Tes Essence. Wondering if anything can beat it. And it makes my skin wonderful if I use it as a mask for 20 minutes or so under my homemade saran wrap mask. Now I'm just using the Andie Lee Co-Q10 toner, which I love....missing using an essence as well.

    SOS ALICE!
My face started to sting last night when doing my routine- I thought maybe it was in need of a rest, so I used all calming ingredients.
I woke up this morning and the irritation is so severe that touching my face causes searing pain- even moving my lips or squinting is painful. I tried to wash my face and apply even my dearest skin1004 Centella ampule and an oat based fragrance free moisturizer, and I actually cried, it was so painful.
    I couldn’t even apply my SPF 🙈
I’m obviously going to call my dermatologist ASAP- but what products do you recommend for seriously sensitized skin? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m usually so careful and anal about it- as I know I’m rosacea prone and very sensitive.
But I can’t even touch my face or apply any of my calming serums 😅

Alice, have you tried CommonLabs Vitamin C Brightening Sun Serum SPF50 PA++++? I’m looking to simplify my morning skincare routine and thought a sunscreen which already has vitamin C in it would be awesome to eliminate the Vitamin C serum step 😊 do you have any Vitamim C sunscreen recommendations? 🧡

I haven’t, but yep that is a great idea! I’ve seen it in a few products, and thankfully the antioxidant activity doesn’t require as high of a concentration as the hyperpigmentation-fighting activity ☺️

Ok I cannot remember which video U talked about the experiment silicone mask. I have the same problem with the cheaper silicone masks as they tug into the ears and I really don't like it. I have been eyeing the experiment mask but then realise it would cost me $80 AUD altogether for shipping and actual cost of the mask. I came up with a solution. U know the mask extender we see so much during COVID mask time? I'm using it for this mask, comfort delivered. Hope this helps someone in the same boat or same continent as me
