Went with a 2.2L stroker king bearings, high pressure rings and standard oem head with upgraded valves springs retainers. Factory turbo, different manifold factory intake manifold also. Hoping for a light 350-380 on E85 no flex tune though but hoping it all goes back normally. Probably will do a clutch release valve so I can hard launch the car consistently 🤞🏻
yea. 100% what its like to be a evo owner.. running good for a pull or 2..then break stuff every pull for the next 5 to 10 pulls. to fix it all n run good again for 1 pull to do it all over again like clock work....
We’ll be interesting to hear about the intake manifold. They make really good stuff so not sure how it broke. In less someone welded it up before you got it
Not Surprised it blew. As i have for mentioned Send away your Factory Intake Manifold to David at RPW here in Australia and he can mod the heck out of it and will be all the manifold you will ever need :) Car was killer right up until that point
Omg i was like "oh it's just the steering pump in the end" but that 4 sec rev limiter was scared, i thought it was throttle stuck wide open but it's worse. I hope the engine is fine, it should be. 🤔
Definitely not a yellow car fan but it does look really good and baders right all the extra little touches make it look really good and it’s super clean
Magnus & Skunk2 Manifolds are no good on the Evo platform. I’ve lost count on how many have failed or leaked around the emblems at this point lol. Stock PORTED Intake mani & TB has proven time after time.

I have that exact manifold I got from someone, that had the same problem. I'm currently re-welding it with angle covering the welds.
