I noticed that too 😢. Like I said in another comment, we have similar career goals and it’ll take her (not counting high school) between ~6-9 years depending if she goes the med school (Forensic pathologist) route or the masters (pathologist assistant route). And I hope she gets out of this life soon so she can pursue that because she said her fear is not accomplishing her goals. I’m cheering for her and wishing she’ll be in a better position soon! I don't want to come off as anti american (i am not), but i live in a small european country (Austria) and this would never happen here. Prostitution is legal and sexworkers need a working license which includes regular, mandatory heath checkups.
Not to mention the good network of institutions and services (government funded/free) which would prevent teenagers from ever getting in a situation like "Fantasy".
I know it won't be easy implementing social programs like we have here but it is absolutely doable despite the US being the forth largest country and governed by state and federal legislation! Some people would have to pay more taxes of course...

That's a critical age in development where teens start to explore their independence, pull away from parents and worry about body image. It's normal. That's also when dads (in general) need to be more involved and parents should show more patience and interest in keeping their kids safe and future-focused. Fantasy didn't get any of that.
That is hands down , one of the saddest interviews I have ever watched. My heart is breaking for her right now . She is smiling and laughing but her eyes are so fucking sad . I remember when I was 14 I had a friend that became homeless because her mother found a boyfriend and he said he didnt want kids living in the house. Right before we started our 9th grade year she kicked out her, her 19 yo sister, and her 11 year old brother. Her and her brother went to live with her sister who moved into her much older boyfriend house. Once her sister got pregnant and the money became tight the boyfriend was pressing for her to leave. My friend ended up couch surfing before our best friend mother took her in. Needless to say her and her brother really struggled emotionally for years after that. Her mother was pathetic and all for a man. Thinking back on it someone should called cps especially since she was only 14 and her brother was only 11 but I think everyone was scared of them being separated. If it wasn’t for our friend mother taking her in she probably would’ve ended up similar to her. Her brother started to get into a bunch of trouble

This is so sad, being on her own at 14, selling herself at 14, my daughter is 14 her bookbag is bigger than her and she can't even remember to put on deodorant....Poor baby, what's wrong with people having kids and not taking care of them!!!
I want to give her a hug and be a real friend to her so she knows not all love is conditional, so heartbreaking. I hope she accomplished her main goal to work with cadavers and stays safe.

Some women enjoy being promiscuous. It’s in their spirit. YES it’s sad, and 9/10 something traumatic did happen to them , but you can’t keep taking responsibility from people, even young people. She enjoys being promiscuous and enjoys not working hard to get fast money. You can blame the economy for being out loud but still she has blame

she's 17, her situation isn't that shocking... but from her stories it looks like this guy could bring in an 11-12 year old with the same lifestyle, that would be just gut wrenching

This girl is traumatised from her home life, then ther friend clearly set her up to go into this street life, and on top got one of those guys to convince her that it is "normal". Messed up and unfortunate. The worst part is that she doesnt seem to see how lost she is.

This girl is breaking my heart. She decided to take back “power” in her life the only way she knew how. When you have no guidance and no love, it’s understandable how you end up on the streets. She’s so young and I pray she gets the to LIVE a life one day. One full of joy, laughter and love.🙏🏼💗

Mark is doing an awesome thing by having these individuals come on and tell their stories. It’s an eye opener for them. They might not come out of what they’re in but it’ll definitely have them thinking.

This is what trauma does. Emotional and mental is worse than physical in many cases. Its so sad.
and everything she chose to do is still her fault, you can overcome trauma and grow or give into it and do what makes you feel good, she chose the later. she isnt a victim more than any of us and none of us truly are but to our self

Good morning Mark .. As a foster mom I see this so much .. These beautiful children are placed with us and we can’t do anything, they leave and don’t come back for days and it’s an awful cycle… it is heartbreaking the trauma they endured
