Shift 2's intro still to this day gets me deep. One of the few nfs games I played too much as a kid. The visceral feeling of the cinematic never made me skip it everytime I launched the game. Wish slightly mad stayed there to make the third game.

IMHO Prostreet was the only game which had that unique atmosphere of trackdays or amateur racing events. I dont know any other game which was about this type of racing or at least had that style.

High Stakes/Road Challenge, Porsche Unleashed, Hot Pursuit 2 and Hot Pursuit 2010 are criminally underrated, true masterpieces with the original NFS vibe. Actually loved those more than the Underground & MW/Carbon series (even though they were pretty good aswell).
Mia's RX8 also uses audio from Paul's Evo 7 in 2F2F, it's not audible in the trailer but listen to any in game cut scene involving her car I shit you not😂
