If this is a giant petrified tree trunk then who cut the tree down? If the top is basically flat then Paul Bunyan must have come along with a big 'ole saw! Then what happened to the tree trunk? Seems it would be right there! Right?

The formation of this "rock" is caused from Magma rose through the crust... it is very interesting how a Magma could form a perfect hexagonal shapes ... and those shapes can form a pillar that is to be flat on top... Something in the explanation is not very clear here even if you are not a geologist . Hexagonal shape is the main shape that can be found in many things on our planet ( Cells, water , ice , snowflakes and bumblebee hatch) , nevertheless in the trees when you cut them in the middle. Apparently this is not made of Magma rose. Simply you can check what formation do the magma makes once it rose from the crust... . There are two options . This ultra coincidence that the magma rose made a perfect hexagonal shaped pillars (that frankly looks like a tre) or it is something else that we do not know..

As sadhguru says this is one of the three immensely powerful place on the planet, If you want to activate your throat chakra or Vishuddhi. It can be accessed spiritually all across the American continent. Being in its presence on full moon days are really beneficial. Because none of the native American spirituality was recorded, its significance were lost after the invasion.
