      Pointless. Less than entertaining. It's time to embrace the great OJ and concur that the planet is a hoax. Everything is a hoax and life is pointless. Now, let the party begin.

    The test needs more other factors: such as the memory of weather and cold and hot weather distribution over years. Do you feel you have more and more warmer weather's than before? If yes, then it's due to temperature rise, which is caused by climate change

      There's some research about perception of past and present temperatures, which the video doesn't include. "Shifting baseline syndrome" is forgetting it rejecting experience that things were different, a bit like the claim that live frogs boiled slowly dingy react. It's probably another factor in complacency.

    Q: Why did global warming morph into climate change?
    A: Because it could be empirically demonstrated that the globe wasn't warming over the last 30 years.

    Some good information in there, terrible production, shitty ending and not for nothing but absolutely no solutions offered nothing productive, not even whiny, just detached feeling… Thanks I guess

      Yes just like I feel. I knew about global warming in 1955. The scientists have known since the beginning. Big deal. The almighty dollar rules till the end. We will go down in history as the only civilization to not save itself because of it's not being cost effective. Or words to that courtesy of Kurt Vonnegut and maybe others. Can't remember because too much nanoplastics and toxic chemicals coursing through my veins full of cholesterol and strontium 90. Nice

      I think the problem is that there isn't a solution. People need to know how they form their opinion, I guess that is the solution

    • @SofGdggd-xt9lw
      @SofGdggd-xt9lw 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, it doesn't feel like it's working to a conclusion. A bit explaining confirmation bias (solution: seek common ground), and a bit on cognitive dissonance (no solution, although people react to it in many ways.)
      I've read some good books taking the subject further though: 'Don't Even Think About It' by George Marshall, and 'Saving Us' by Katharine Hayhoe. Prof Hayhoe's 'Global Weirding' channel here is interesting.

      OK, turns out the full documentary is 52 minutes. This section is probably from the middle, so that explains why it ends so abruptly. It's not really fair to describe Greta Thunberg's 'eco-anxiety' as borderline pathological considering it lifted her out of selective mutism. Anxiety is often a healthy response, like for exams, although it should be tempered with positive rewards.

    Being politically correct is important. Politically correct people, if they hear certain types of curse words; show up and burn your house down. Smear poop on your apartment front door. Climate change lacks importance because it isn't a person, it's a thing. Things are not at risk of being offended but people are. So, since the climate isn't a person, it's a thing. Besides, intelligent people exhibit a strong sense of unease when talking about climate change; so no. No.

      You don't smell the taint of academia, it's a video OF academics. Their job is to prove things via scientific evidence unlike yours is.
