Ever since Soul Mining I’ve been following Matt’s fantastic music. It has always been a part of my life from teenager to middle age now. What a gift to see HIM this year in Amsterdam, can’t wait !
Matt’s a complete one-off, always producing quality music & thought provoking lyrics which are often prophetic.
I’ll never forget the MindBomb album which was released in 1989 when UK pop music hit an all-time low with omnipresent Stock-Aitken-Waterman type crap polluting the airwaves. I was already into decent Indie stuff back then but he opened my mind to many things at a time when I was studying GCSE’s & A-Levels, but he taught me so much more 💙
I thank the Lord I found Matt... he's kept me sane, it's good to know other's are out there that are the same... I'd love to spend time with him... I've got tickets to his ensouled concerts... I pray he stays healthy, safe and blessed... always and amen.

I found The The in 1984, since then I'm amazed how true Matt's music has been to the male experience of life over the years is as I grow older. The The is the music sound track of my life.
Some people mention the Fab-4 when talking about quality music….so do I. The Fab-4 are four albums released between 1983 & 1993: Soul Mining, Infected, Mind Bomb and Dusk.

Seeing The The in November 24 - last saw him in 1991 in NZ for Mindbomb - My god how experience has accumulated in the interval. But The The has been a constant over all those years.
I can't say strongly enough how much I agree with the views of Matt. Perhaps more than any other artist over the years, The The has influenced me and my world view.
Great documentary of a great artist.Amazing to hear Matt say he feels he has yet to achieve his potential,when he has written songs like Perfect,Lonely Planet ,.Good Morning Beautiful,Heartland etc etc.Was listening to Mindbomb yesterday,amazing how he predicted World events of today 35 years ago with such accuracy.Never heard any other artist with such hard hitting lyrics,allied to instantly catchy rhythms.

This documentary is a great mix of live and you explaining your process. I find it fascinating how humble you are...but yet so comfortable in being who you are and not fitting in. I have felt that my whole life, and I have embraced it, but will embrace it more fully after hearing your words... thank you😌 You are an inspiration in my life.
