Eid-e Milad un Nabi Mubarak 💚
"There is a reward for kindness to every living creature"
    -Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Presenting a song narrating the story of the Prophet's migration from Mecca to Yathrib (later named Medina).
The Prophet's message of Oneness was not welcome to the upper classes and tribal lords. They harassed the Prophet ﷺ and his followers. The Quraysh tribesmen fiercely opposed his teachings and offered a princely reward for his assassination.
But by then the Prophet ﷺ had recieved a divine command to leave for Yathrib and so he set out with his dear friend Abu Bakr ر.
But the road was hard and behind them were the enemy warriors. At last they took shelter in the cave of Thawr. The story goes, while they rested inside, a spider wove a web over the cave entrance so it looked as if no one had entered in a long time. Thus the enemies in pursuit were fooled and by God's miracle the life of his Messenger was saved.
To protect the Prophet ﷺ Abu Bakr ر covered all the niches and crannies in the cave wall with his turban cloth. Only one remained and this he blocked with his toe as the Prophet ﷺ slept with his head on his lap.
But there was a snake in this hole which bit him. The poison spread rapidly and the pain was excruciating. But Abu Bakr ر did not move his feet lest he wake the Prophet ﷺ. But he couldn't hold back his tears and they fell on the Prophet's blessed face awaking him. Learning of his pain the Prophet ﷺ rubbed his saliva on Abu Bakr's wound and the pain was instantly cured.
Just then the snake came out of the hollow shrieking that it had been wronged by Abu Bakr ر. The snake said it had bitten Abu Bakr ر because he had unjustly tried to keep it away and deny it a glimpse of the Beloved Messenger for whose arrival it had been waiting eagerly for a long time. Hearing this, the Prophet ﷺ smiled at the snake and let it go away unharmed.
And so the Prophet ﷺ reached Medina where he was warmly welcomed by humble folk.
This song was originally sung by the legend Mohammed Rafi Saab.
