I love everything about my 2023 Z900. I have owned multiple bikes from KTM, Yamaha, Honda & Kawasaki, I've always found Kawasaki to be the best built with Honda being also built well.

@SludgedB Why the bitchy comment? Skill is not an issue for me as I've been riding for around 27 years. I started on motocross from a young age & have been riding road sports bikes for a long time. I say the Z900 is not a beginner bike because where I live its legally not, and besides that, it's really not a bike a beginner should start on. I would recommend it to someone who is mentally mature and has experience riding. Personally I ride the Z900 now because I like the look & ergonomics of it.

Kawasaki is king of beginner bike, and in line either that the Z900 is far more beginner friendly than a MT-09.
@SludgedB Neither of those bikes are beginner bikes.. A beginner bike would be a Ninja 400 or CBR 500

I would have to look at cost of ownership. I would also need to get a quote from my insurance company.
Is tried both and ended up getting the mt09. Way more fun and suits my riding style
