The marine corps did a study in 2014-2015 about the effectiveness of woman in a combat unit. They called it the integrated unit battalion or something like that. They had all male squads vs integrated men-women squads and the results were overwhelmingly in favor of the all men squads. The integrated squads accuracy was less, their trips to medical were greater, their overall combat readiness was significantly less than the all male squads. You can google the research. The army did something similar in the 90s. Same results

Back in 2000s i made friends with the one who ordered things for our squadron, turns out it goes for everything. Just to get a set of swipes (wire twisting pliers) was $85 from the military source, yet Ace or Home Despot had the same tool for around $12-20. Compund that by every tool in the toolboxes and toolrooms of every squadron, it adds up very quickly.

Long story short, there were tens of thousands of gallons of JP8 stored on the FOB/RRP, but command decided to shut the operation down. So how did they decide to handle this situation? Transport the fuel back? Nope, just burn it all (the fire was fucking huge). Keep in mind that US gas prices were the highest they've ever been at that time too.

I think distraction is commonly misinterpreted in this context. In combat it's not like guys are going to be ogling them, it's more that guys are going to instinctively want to protect them, to their own detriment. And watching a girl laying next to you dying with her guts spilling out is a lot harder to handle than if it's another man.

It is 100% a detriment to our fighting power with women in combat roles. There are PLENTY of other things for women to do in the military of every branch. I have an injured back from loading a B-52 bomb bay door cause a female airman could not hold the door properly and fell down cause she was not strong enough. I had to load aim 9 L/M with my supervisor only cause our 3rd crew member was a female who was too short to reach the launcher on a F-15 and was not strong enough. Women’s PT test also is not equal to a man’s PT test.

As a former Marine grunt, hegseth is not the most qualified but he is what is needed, imo. Someone who understands the plight of the warfighter and makes decisions for, yes the American people, but also the American soldier. Most generals or even O-6’s I’ve talked to become disconnected from the cost of war and are constantly seeking its course rather than seeking peace through other means. Too many men have died for wars that ultimately meant nothing. Hegseth could buy “meaningless pawns” like myself time to raise our kids before the call comes.

Women in military is a bit more coplex issue than just if woman can meet the standard. It has been observed multiple times that squads with female members overall perform much worst than all male teams. Its compleately natural that males behave differently if there is a female in the squad.

I was in the military for 8 years. I don't think she knows that the physical standards for men and women are drastically different. It is 100% a detriment to our fighting power with women in combat roles. There are PLENTY of other things for women to do in the military of every branch. Nobody wants to kick them out, but we need our strongest people on the front lines.

I had to load aim 9 L/M with my supervisor only cause our 3rd crew member was a female who was too short to reach the launcher on a F-15 and was not strong enough. Women’s PT test also is not equal to a man’s PT test.

Women in military is a bit more coplex issue than just if woman can meet the standard. It has been observed multiple times that squads with female members overall perform much worst than all male teams. Its compleately natural that males behave differently if there is a female in the squad.
