Dak insisted on a 4 year deal coming off an expired tag with no trade clause or tag option! He is looking to leave if he wanted to be a Cowboy for Life he would've taken the longer contract offer. Jerry told him he overpaid for him to his face after 2 years of negotiations. How do you take less years because you want to cash in on a new deal when you can always do that with years left on a current deal just like the other QBs have been doing?? That would help your cap situation which he clearly didn't GAF about when he and his agent were negotiating. Help the team so they can help you. Did Mahomes insists on 4 years to quickly cash in? He took a 10 year deal! I can see a RB with a shorter career span doing that but Franchise QBs who are tied to the hip with their organization with more job security don't do that! Dak looking to go it's not just one sided like you all think
