Hey, fun video! Tractor job with AC sounds good for sure some days! Enjoyed this vid Sandy! All your videos either with tasks that are simple an easy to large and a bit more difficult, you always put in the same quality and hard work into! That’s one thing that sets your channel apart from a lot of others! Andrew from NB :)
I want an HLA Root grapple to move cedar (I e. light) logs. Available locally is a 54" or 66" and my tractor is a DK5010. Which width do you recommend?
Hey, I’m curious how you feel about your R4 industrial tires. Will you replace them with the same type or would you convert to R1 ah tires? Is most of your terrain flat or do yo have any decent hills?
I’ve got a number of good hills around my land that I’m using my tractor on. I like the R4 style since I do a little bit of everything with my tires so I’ll likely look to the new R14 pattern to replace these when it’s time. I’d be hesitant to use the R1’s since I do a fair bit of snow work
howdy sandy.quick question? root rake grapple or a rake grapple like you have! which do you like best? or prefer? the rake grapple seems to do well all the way around. jave a great day!
I believe they call the one I’m using a root rake with grappled added. Works great for my log work. I don’t dog anything with it so if that were the case I may look closer at a manure grapple. Think that’s what it’s called. Has long times and a more flat pusher style bucket with the grapple on the top
@@sawingwithsandy thank you and ok i understand. i think i will go with the root rake grapple then. i have watched vids of folks useing them like a miniature bulldozer takeing out roots around a tree then just pushing the tree over and you can also rake in reverse with grapple all the way open. have good evening.
on tractor trailers they have a spring with a rod with pig tail looking hook. it's for holding air hoses you could buy one or make something that looks like one.

I’ve got the 66” and it works great for my DK40. I think either would work well .
how much did you pay for your Grapple? i'm looking to buy a 60inch I wonder if its wide enough for my 40hp Massey
Hi Sandy,
We might be neighbors, would love to chat about forestry and other woody stuff.

Are those summer work boots CSA approved? They look indestructible, lol.
Mountainview Ranch yeah they are really flexible and waterproof. Not so much puncture proof though haha

Use bungee cords to control those hoses!
Yeah I definitely need to figure something out

Kevin Brewer thanks I’ll look into that. Appreciate the idea
