This is an awesome cutter, love the rustic look of the hammer marks. This would be awesome to have once I get a brick pizza oven. And I love the pins. That wood with the brass looks great. If anyone has a better pizza cutter I'd like to know where to find it!
Hey BP. This one is just mild steel. I figured for how many pizzas I cut yearly a quick trip to the belt grinder is cheaper than a big honking piece of tool steel.
What would you have improved? I feel like just crapping on someone’s work and not offering suggestions for improvement aren’t things we as creators should do to each other. Maybe offer some advice?
Vincent Ferrari Very fair assessment. I felt like he did not forge the pizza cutter as far as he cools have and seemed to be quite thick. I was also not a fan of the woodworking techniques employed. He spent the time dadoing the wood to then cut the piece in half just to re-glue it together with Epoxy. It would’ve been nice to have seen more precision in the dado work so that the pizza cutter slipped in tight to the wood handle. It also seems like a very thick piece of wood to start with. I did like the medallion that he inset into the handle I thought that was masterfully done. I think the big thing that bothered me though was just the day to work and then the cut in half with the Epoxy joint. Sorry for the negative feedback back!
You are an artist

Well done I want it!
Thank you!

Thank you!
I just heard some people on a podcast talking about a project like this! This looks way cooler than the joker on the podcast was describing, though.
