Glencadam 10 is certainly the winner on this list for me, followed by the Ancnoc 12. Strangely I haven't tried most of these whiskies before, but rather their more mid-tier expressions. Looking forward to the holiday splurge list @Gwhisky! :)
Suggestion: move some of the bottles around on the shelves in the background. Like a little easter egg hunt. You know, something to entertain us while watching the video.
I know exactly where you're coming from with the cologne notes from Deanston. I get it from both the 12 and 18, which can at times be slightly off-putting, but I don't get it from the Virgin Oak, which is now my go to sub £30 budget malt 🥃👍
I only drink peated whiskies, but I LOVE the Ledaig 10! It's about $78 CAD here in BC, and for me it's my replacement for the bottle I have to have at all times (was Laphroaig Triple Wood until the bastards there discontinued it! Then it was the Quarter Cask. I still love QC, but it's $96 here now--and that's the sale price.)
Great list my friend! Hitting that magical 7 again. Probably my favorite would be Glencadam 10 from this list. Surprised you didn't include Springbank 18....but whatever. Nothing like a good old hangover video shoot hehe 😂 Cheers my friend 🥃🥃🎩😁
Geoff - loving the new 'bothy' - enjoy! Great 2nd list. I have almost all of these whiskys on my shelf including the mystery pour - the Classie Laddie - a superb bottle. Thx Geoff - keep 'em coming!
Thanks for the Arran Barrel Reserve recommendation as a summer whisky. Very helpful for those of us who celebrate a summer holiday season. Resist the hegemony of the Northern Hemisphere! ✊
Some of the 'cheap' whiskies aren't so cheap in the U.S. It seems like the prices are creeping back up again - like the Deanston 12 is $76 in my area. Also, can't wait for the Bruichladdich 18 review!
Arndanmurchin AD is $60 in my market. It's a little above the price cutoff but WOW! This is incredible. It's the best bottom end bottle of a distillery that I've ever had. Honestly I don't know how they make a $60 whisky taste like a $100+ whisky. Unfortunately I have only seen the cask strength and nothing else from these guys in the past 3 years. If I did It would be an automatic purchase just based on the incredible bottles I've had. So glad to see this distillery get the recognition it deserves at the OSWA this year
Having drunk all these I can say it took me a while to get into Glen Garioch, now it's a keeper. Glencadam is always in the cabinet. Not so Deanston and undecided on Benromach,. The other three deserve their listing.
Your choices are inspired by the whisky fans choices. Can you make a video, what would YOU recommend for the holiday season according to your taste ? Doesn’t have to be everything cheap…just quality
Another good list, all of these are more expensive here than your prices. I have four of these, the Ledaig 10, Deanston 12, AnCnoc 12 and Glencadam 10. Best in terms of price and quality is Glencadam 10. Cheers!
A fun list video Jeff , always enjoy a whisky list video from you.Apart from the barrel reserve and the anconc 12 the rest are on my shelves. Slàinte 🥃
Pants spread out on the couch to prepare for watching TH-cam... and then the longest intro to any of your lists. Time enough to clear the couch again (and in the meantime the rest of the furniture as well. On the whisky: some interesting stuff, the Ledaig f.e. waaaaay better than that grape polluted stuff from last time. However, my fav being no.3 🤜🤛 Slàinte mhath
adjusting up to $60 for export here, these looked good to me: Glen Scotia double cask, Ardbeg10, Craigellachie13, Highland Park12, and here's a xmas one in name and notes, Glenmorangie Lasanta
Hi Geoff! Great list! I do prefer the Ledaig Rioja as you said in several videos too. And as a recommendation (I don't know about the price, but I think it's not very expensive) i will go with Edradour 10. Probably the best 40% abv whisky I've ever tried. Greetings from Argentina!
Geoff, the video lighting seems a bit tinted blue/green (cold). I don't know anything about video editing. Just thought to point it out if you want to fix it. :) cheers!
Man I’m so jealous of anyone with access to more Arran than we are in Sweden. Our selection is way too small. That and Ardnamurchan. We need more! The Arran 11 is one of the best bottles on my shelf, it’s just not big enough.
Maybe just this clean highland's style is not for you 🤷♂️. Try their Reserva PX, its comletely different but absolutely delicious and im sure you will love it 😁🥂🥂🥂🙋♂️
Just managed to pick up a bottle of Lagavulin 12yo 2023 tequila cask for NTD$2000 (£50). Never thought I’d ever get a bottle of that for the same price as the whiskies on this list. 😊
Some great picks Geoff! And some I haven’t actually tried, I see deanston 18 for £58 calling but you have deterred me slightly 😂 also, bring back the “lived in” look! Very edgy 😂
Hey buddy. I think that Deanston is definitely worth a go at £58. I know a lot of people really love it, and it's definitely very solid for the price. As for the lived in look, I'll talk to my team of set designers. Cheers! 😉🥃
Hi Geoff. Can you recommend me a reasonably priced refill Bourbon Cask matured distillate forward whisky that's slightly bitter/sour? I don't really like Sherried very sweet whisky.
It's interesting how so people pay attention to Geoff's pants in the corner, while my attention has been mostly drawn to the bottle of Dark Origins, in a different corner. To each their own, I suppose. Geoff, maybe this is a time to start a channel related to pants. Clearly some people pay attention to it ;)
I think I might be the only scotch fan who doesn't understand what the big deal is with Benromach. Have thought any offering I've had from them is mediocre at best.
Wow, I'm not sure you can find much single malt in the States at 50 or less. Certainly not these bottles. Ancnoc and Deanston 12 runs more like 60 plus. Ledaig 10 tends to be 70+. Glen Garioch also around 70. So, nice list , though priced in us dollars, it's not the prices you'll find in this country.
0:39 -- what's this? Team of set designerS? Plural? Geoff's Patreon channel has gotten so big, there are multiple "set designer" now? When did this happen? :)))))
So what you’re saying is given the algorithm likes lists you’re going to do lists. Then when are you going to do a video listing the lists you have made? 😂

For me there is no competition: I have tasted most of these whiskies and the best, in my opinion, is Glencadam 10yo
Agree! Banger! 🥃
You rang?
Also agree 👍
@@GeoffreyBangers 😂😂😂
Great video. Entertaining and full of humour.
FJI
Ledaig 10 Ex-Bourbon and Ex-STR wine
Deanston 12 100% Ex-Bourbon (Kosher)
anCnoc 12 100% Ex-Bourbon (KF Kosher)
Glencadam 10 100% Ex-Bourbon (OU Kosher)
Arran Barrel Reserve 100% Ex-Bourbon (Kosher)

Super funny video. Excellent list. Keep up the good work!
Thanks buddy! 🥃🙏
I have a feeling the couch wasn't the only pantsless feature of this video....Congrats on the increased subs. Well deserved bud!!
Yeah I've been told I give off a "no pants" vibe.
Which is accurate.
Cheers buddy. 🥃
good practical video, the three words are awesome
Cheers and thank you! 🥃
I know exactly where you're coming from with the cologne notes from Deanston.

Lol Springbank 18 definitely needs to be at the top of any "available and affordable" list. Glaring omission. 😂🥃
Cheers man! 🥃
Geoff - loving the new 'bothy' - enjoy! Great 2nd list. I have almost all of these whiskys on my shelf including the mystery pour - the Classie Laddie - a superb bottle. Thx Geoff - keep 'em coming!
Thanks Craig, will do! Cheers buddy! 🥃
Arran Barrel Reserve has always felt like my own secret - I like it much more than any other Arran blend or age-stated offering but their 18-Year old.
I’d agree AnCnoc is a good buy. I was gifted one and it surprised me.
Thanks for the Arran Barrel Reserve recommendation as a summer whisky. Very helpful for those of us who celebrate a summer holiday season. Resist the hegemony of the Northern Hemisphere! ✊
1:54 this moment made me audibly chuckle
Unpeated Islay? That has to be the Classic Laddie.
Thanks for the great list.

Ouch! $75 is a bummer! 👎

All great whisky's! I'm happy to see the Glen Garioch 12 in the list.
Glencadam 10 is so good and reasonable too also the deanston 12 is great!!!! 👍🏻
Don’t sleep on Speyburn. The 10 at $28 is outstanding
Your choices are inspired by the whisky fans choices. Can you make a video, what would YOU recommend for the holiday season according to your taste ? Doesn’t have to be everything cheap…just quality
Wow I missed pants last video. I need to re-watch it. Great list. Many great whiskey here ❤🎉❤ i am on fire with guessing your mistery pours
Yes, AnCnoc 12 my best value whisky for the recent OSWA’s! 27,50 euro in the Netherlands!
Another good list, all of these are more expensive here than your prices. I have four of these, the Ledaig 10, Deanston 12, AnCnoc 12 and Glencadam 10. Best in terms of price and quality is Glencadam 10. Cheers!
Great list yet again Geoff! I know a lot of people who dismiss the Barrel Reserve but I think it's super fresh and an easy summer sipper. Cheers!
Like the first 5 - #7 to #3. And the Classic Laddie.
Great listings!!among these 7, Glencadam 10, ledaig 10, ancnoc 12 are my favorites ! Thanks Geoff!
Nicely done Geoff!
I think Bruichladdich Classic Laddie is a staple of most people's whisky cabinets and am glad it's your #1 . . . .excellent choice '-)
It's a banger! 🥃
A fun list video Jeff , always enjoy a whisky list video from you.Apart from the barrel reserve and the anconc 12 the rest are on my shelves. Slàinte 🥃
I know you mentioned only single malts but for the money I enjoy black bottled.

Ancnoc is an amazing dram! The 24 yo is 🔥🔥
Good choices

Wow Glendcadam 10 year for $40. Wow! It’s so rare by me and if I can find it $70 will be the price. I’m happy my pick of Benromach 10 year made it.
that's a good mix ;;
Your wicked funny and good value
Very kind words! Thank you, John. 🙏🥃
I feel as if I am broken. I never really loved the Glencadam 10. I've tried older Glencadams as well and they just don't excite me much.
That's fair. We like what we like! 🥃
Maybe just this clean highland's style is not for you 🤷♂️. Try their Reserva PX, its comletely different but absolutely delicious and im sure you will love it 😁🥂🥂🥂🙋♂️
@@peatbull3426 Thanks for the recommendation.
What a follow up... You spoil us😂
I can get the arran 10 for 30€ (converted roughly 32 usd). that’s why I always get this one if I need a gift.
I come hear for the self-effacing comedy as much as I do for the whisky these days lol ;)
Mystery pour guess Bunnahabhain 12
Oooof
Just managed to pick up a bottle of Lagavulin 12yo 2023 tequila cask for NTD$2000 (£50). Never thought I’d ever get a bottle of that for the same price as the whiskies on this list. 😊
I bought this on Amazon yesterday too. Someone made a big mistake there. Today it's already for 136 pounds.
@ literally deal on the year wasn’t it. I bought 3 bottles. One for now, two for the stash and future drinking.
I can only find three of these to be readily available, and only one is under $50 ($49.99 on sale for the Benro 10) in my area.
Some great picks Geoff! And some I haven’t actually tried, I see deanston 18 for £58 calling but you have deterred me slightly 😂 also, bring back the “lived in” look! Very edgy 😂

Did you taste the Benriach original ten (three cask matured) 43% natural color ?. Often around 30 euros in France.
I found it very good for the price.
Now that a set of shelves of distinguished grace

I wish The Classic Laddie was $50. It’s like $63 near me. 😊
I think I might be the only scotch fan who doesn't understand what the big deal is with Benromach. Have thought any offering I've had from them is mediocre at best.
Really not a fan of the anCnoc 12. The 18 is fine though. Disappointed that the Craigellachie 13 didn't make it again.
Prefer AnCnoc "Rascan" Scotch Whisky
Why no love for Glenlivet 12 Licensed Dram
everything in moderation, including moderation
Wow, I'm not sure you can find much single malt in the States at 50 or less. Certainly not these bottles. Ancnoc and Deanston 12 runs more like 60 plus. Ledaig 10 tends to be 70+. Wait, what? My Ancnoc 12 is 43% 🤯
Yes a lot of bottles are 43% in the US that are sold at 40% elsewhere in the world. You guys are lucky!
