All 1800cc engine cars had the humps. Also this was a US market car. You can tell by the ride height. It may have been bought in Italy recently, but it’s a US market vehicle. Lucky for you, correct ride height springs are available and they aren’t hard to fit in your driveway!
My dad bought the so-called sedan model 2 door with the spoiler type back end that car would corner like a race car. He gave it to my sister for school I bought a 240z in my senior year in high school after working in the summers for a major Hotel. God, I miss those cars back in the day I hate the new cars. You can't even work on them yourself.
@@giancarlosilano8690 If you Google, "1972 fiat 124 sport spider us version" roughly half the pics are smooth, half have the bumps. Maybe it was a running production change, then and by 1973 they did all have them.

@@JorisJoop Not in North America. We had eight of these between my father and I, the first two being 1972 model. 1600cc with a smooth hood. The dual bump hood first appeared with the 1800cc version, on very late 1976+ models. And, sadly, because of emissions regulations, we never got the dual Webers here. I looked forever for a pair of used 40IDF's but never found any.
Love the 124. So beautiful and so much fun to drive.
I am doing a full restore on my 78 124 1800. Lovely car.
I just recently acquired a ‘72 and ‘76. This is the BEST video I’ve seen yet. Think I’ll go for a cruise. 🏎️
In italy many put a busso V6 in it
