    Very rough showground. Certainly wouldn't have wanted to drive my preserved appliance around on it.

    Tell me.... why do many of these of these preserved beauties have their previous identities removed? Is it a stipulation laid down by the parent fire brigade during the sale, or is it the new owners’ choice? Fortunately, a nerd like me can identify the brigades that these machines served with just from their liveries and registration numbers! But I think it’s a shame that their history is removed. Or maybe it’s so can get some acting work?
