We have a main logo we use for our branch and then style "guidelines" for different recurring programs. For summer reading, we choose one of the CSLP graphics for summer reading branding (and still include our library logo on all SRP stuff) but keep our recurring programs style guidelines. For example, one of our adult programs, Coffee & Friends, uses light-blue background with a darker hue of that blue in a coffee bean background. Our "symbol" or "logo" is a take-away coffee cup vector that is smiling. We use it for all of our Coffee & Friends publicity-- but also include our library logo. The style guidelines keep everything consistent through all promotions for that program and draws the eye of regular attendees.

Question! What if you were to use both the main logo and a specialty logo like below the other logo and the right side somewhat?! That's just my first thought! TY📚

HI Angela. I've been the brand police for many different businesses during my career. I am a firm believer that there should only be ONE true logo for your library/business. If you want to create a "mark" for a particular service, ok. But it's NOT a logo. More than one logo dilutes your brand and is very confusing. Promoting your library is #1 and offering a wide variety of products and services is very important. Each one does not need a logo.
