Hi Frank, my oldest son has ordered tickets for a Dimash show for me as a surprise. He is also a big fan. We are going to Düsseldorf, Germany for a weekend on 9 and 10 April. I'm already looking forward to it! Greetings from the Dutch women from the Netherlands
Samaltau, in English Mountain Breeze, is one of my favorite songs, it is a true story beautifully performed by Dimash and the Kazakh traditional instrumentation -Kobyz and Sybyzgy-takes you to that place and time of the song. I love the rendition for the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2020 during the pandemia, Dimash from his home studio, he was sitting crossed legged and accompanied by two musicians and their traditional instruments. Love it. ❤️🎤🎼🔝👏👏🌹
The sounds the instruments are making at the beginning are to give atmospheric sounds like wild animals, water and wind. If you close your eyes, you can imagine the scene of a young man, recruited by force to fight in an unknown war far, far away - far away from his beloved mountain home and his family. He scans the horizon and hears wild animals, hears the river and wind that he loves about his homeland.
Obrigada. Beijo no ❤. Muita Paz. Pra todos.
When Kazakhstan belonged to Russia (In 1917, First World War), young Kazakhs were forced, by the Russian Empire, to leave their homes and fight 35 years until their total massacre. The story of one of these young people, who marches in despair to a war that is not his, in addition to the sadness of leaving his parents, elders, with no one to take care of and the certainty that he will never see the mountains ("tau") of Kazakhstan again. this wonderfully sad song!
Dimash has concert at Prague ,Minsk,Dusseldorf in April, 2022. You just said you want to see him live singing. You will find it upto his TH-cam channel page .
This Kazakh song is the 1916 lament ( Samaltau) of a young Samal mountain village man, leaving home and elderly parents for parts unknown, walking to war somewhere, his and their destinies unknown.
Frank, he has a concert in Düsseldorf on April 2022 and also in Prague the same month. You can drive in a few hours to Düsseldorf. You need to get the tickets soon if there are any left. Remember that Dears from all over the world attend his concerts.
Que cancion tan bella. Dimash todo lo canta hermosisimo con esa voz tan bella y aterciopelada. Es una maravilla escucharlo. El el mejor cantante y vocalista del mundo.
I love your reactions to Dimash! You always see something that most people overlook. And I listened to your 'Fly Me To The Moon' - your voice is beautiful, fine and velvety smooth - a true delight to listen to.
Eu amo essa música, principalmente por causa do envolvimento emocional que ela carrega. Dimash consegue transmitir toda essa carga emocional. Eu amo esse cantor incrível.❤️❤️❤️🇧🇷
Frank my Dear!…….Samale Mountain is a sad song about a young soldier. He sing about what will happen with his family when He goes away about Mountain and Sea. This a tresure song of kazakhstan and Dimash sing this like no one. The musical instrument is from Kazajistán and name KOBIZ of two strings, Using folk arrangements like “SYBYZGI”, beautiful Kazakh wind instrument…….saludos desde México. 👏🏻❤️🇲🇽🇰🇿
Dimash told in an interview , this song is very difficult to sing for him beceause it is moving him emotionnely . He has a big connection with his ancester, and the history of them touch him deeply.
Frank. This performance is of DIMASH DIGITAL SHOW- With masterful performance of Olímpico opened his Digital show!!!!!! 👉 This bowl-neck lute played with a bow is is an old Turkic stringed instrument and called Kobys or Kylkobyz in Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz variant, for example, is called the kyl-kyyak. The Kobys is the oldest string instrument in the world and, according to a German scientist, it spread beyond the borders of the nomadic area of Central Asia and became the prototype of all European string instruments. (Turkic means: The Turkic peoples are a collection of ethnic groups from Central, East, North and West Asia as well as parts of Europe and North Africa who speak Turkic languages.) A legend about Kobyz says that this instrument was created by the great steppe narrator Korkyt-Ata, who lived in the 10th century and that the tool is charged with magical and even mystical properties and sounds like animal voices. In addition, the Kazakh people believed that the spirits of their ancestors spoke to them through this music. The old outlook and piety towards their instruments and music was constantly preserved in traditional Kazakh society and ensured the highest spiritual level of musical art and a special respectful attitude towards musical instruments. Simple people, for example, did not dare to touch the shaman's Kobyz. It is said: The balance between the courses of life and death on earth can be maintained by playing the Kobyz. 🌼🇩🇪
If you have not done so yet, Please react to Dimash's new version of Unforgettable Day. He changed it a bit by adding some amazing stuff mostly at the end. But the entire performance is performed heart and soul.
Quobyz (ko bish) is a 2 stringed ancient Kazakh, Nomad instrument, and pressure applied on the horsehair bow controls the sounds and musical notes. China, Russia and other Eastern cultures have similar instruments.
The dombra (dome-bra), also known as dombyra (dome-bera) is a long-necked Kazakh and Bashkir lute and a musical string instrument. The dombyra shares certain characteristics with the komuz and dutar, such as its long, thin neck and oblong body shape. The Kobyz (co-biz) or kylkobyz (keel-co-biz) is an ancient Turkic bowed string instrument, spread among Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Bashkirs, and Tatars. The Kyrgyz variant is called the kyl-kyyak. The qobyz has two strings made of horsehair. The resonating cavity is usually covered with goat leather.
I like the keyboard. I feel like it sounds like another layer is added to the song. It sounds to me like the keyboard is playing a death march, which really amplifies the meaning of the song.
On June 25, 1916, Russian Tsar Nikolay II issued a decree requiring 400,000 people between the ages of 19 and 43 from the "indigenous peoples" of Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and Siberia. 240,000 of them were received from Kazakhstan. This decree started one of the most massive uprisings of the 20th century in the Kazakh steppe and Central Asia due to the First World War. "Samal Tau" (Mount Samal) is the song of those recruits because it was the name of the place where they came from. The name of the author is unknown but the song is preserved in the memory of the people. An estimated 10 to 35 million people died during the Great War, leaving millions more injured.
I can't understand why you stop right in the middle of a belting note. It's not very intelligent. Apart from singing while the singer does... what kind of analysis or reaction to something you've never heared before is this? 😳🤷♀️🤦♀️
