Mikhail Tal I think he was the best player ever. His mind, his ideas, his passion in the offense is why I love the game. Thank your videos Agadmator, always Im feel good and respect your work.
tfboys karry wang ....absolutely...I remember the best comment from him when he talked about Tal's participation on a chess tournament in Cuba, where he missed the first four rounds because he was in the hospital due to head injuries from bar fight when he got beaten after getting on somebody else's wife...Antonio said at the beginning of the game - Tal starts with e4, pretty good opening for someone who spent four days in the hospital for broken head...hahaha! He is the king 😊...he managed to make entertainment from chess. I started to love chess because of him!

For the First time when you said "Pause the video if you like" I was able to choose the right move~! i've never played chess before but your videos have really made me want to learn.
Eureka! I found it! I saw the Bishop on b1 that you mentioned Tal wants to keep it on that diagonal, so I figure it's time it came into the game. So e5 gets the pawn out of the way.

the description is well fit, because this game was really a deep dark forest for Tolush, but respect for him and his nice defense.. he tried whatever he could, but it was not enough.. this was real hunt by Tal..
'Old timer' here. This game brings back some memories... Playing Ulf Andersson, you could have the feeling of being alright thrue the whole game, just to be sure you will lose the rook end game in move 63. Always. Playing Karpov was having the feeling of playing an anaconda snake, squeezing it tighter and tighter for every move, until you can´t bare it anymore and resign with relief. But playing Mikhail Tal = 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 f5!? and he lightened a cigarette and stared you down. You know you were doomed right there and then. If you made it to move 20, consider it a success!
08:54 "How do you defend the bishop? Aaah, you don´t defend the bishop." (Because you are Mikhail Tal and do whatever you like at the chess board). O;-
Woohoo! Actually found the Tal Move, though it really was only because I remembered you saying earlier in the video that he wanted that bishop on that diagonal, so maybe it's not REALLY finding it.
i sometimes wonder, how beautiful and innovative chess would have been when computers and engines were not there. i still remember, when i was kid, there used to be no computers or TV or any sort of any guidance. Just the chess board. i used to invent lots of moves and shocked my friends. They were just all in awe with my Tal kind of moves. i even invented the 4 move checkmate strategy. There were millions of people better then me. everything was already there much before. It was shocking but the feeling ultimately sank in.
I love that silent Rook move at 9:01 :D beautiful just beautiful masterpiece. And by the way I truly think this game is very underrated. Its such a great game becoz it involves so many complex positions and bueatiful maneuvering on a very high level to get your checkmates
I am so proud I spotted it :D I wasn't able to calculate all of the lines and definitely nut so deep as in this match. But I saw that a lot of lines were winning and that, for sure, black would have a lot of problems, there.
I found the tal move! Mostly because you gave the hint at the middle about tal wanting to keep that bishop diagonal. And also knowing tal, he was going to sacrifice a piece.
Hi there ! Nice video as always. Keep up the good work. If I may suggest the game that took place in 1922 in a simultaneous exhibition between Jose Raul Capablanca and someone whose name is A Chase in the database (King's Gambit and a nice queen sacrifice). #suggestion
It would be cool if you analyse games from different skill tiers, sort of like John Bartholemew did with his climbing the rating ladder series. GM games are super instructive but also outside the reach of most of us mere mortals. A 1200 player watching analysis of a 1500 player's games, however, could clue into more practical steps to move to that next notch in skill. (Although the GM games will always be the gold standard for all players to aspire to and learn from)
Instead of the actualTal move at 6:00, Rf1 would've been better. Lots of more straightforward options from then to gain either the queen, or both knights or even mate...
I am wondering at 8:02, when Black rook captures the knight, why Tal didn't play forced checkmate by playing Rook takes at f8. (Rxf8, qxf8.. bxh7..kh8, qxf8#) 🙄🙄🙄
Hey. Never mind about the chess question with those pieces i had in the positions they were in. I finally figured it out. Even the chess engine was recommending the wrong move of queen take queen. It is still an interesting position full of traps.
At 1:50 wouldn't a knight captures e4 be a good move for black? Trading queens and knight for dark squared bishop? Just kind of looking into position.. Especially if u are trying to draw as black
At 8:23, isn’t rook capture knight results in a completely winning position? Queen has to capture rook, bishop take pawn check, after king moves to c7, rook to c1 check and after king moves, simply take the queen
#Suggestion : R. Byrne v Fisher 1963 Brilliancy (Have looked on your channel, can't find it.) It's been analyzed to death, but I'd love the Agadmator take on it!!

- "Try to find Tal's move".
me: Bishop sac..? Queen sac..? King sac?!
- "e5".
me: oh.. ok
I played a Tal move.... or so I thought
I was looking for a queen sac too!
Queen sac on h7 pawn looks promising, if only the rooks were both on the h file...
Me: "e5? Naaaah, I don't know what's next..."
Agad: "e5"
*Akmal Karimov,* same thought haha.
Is it just me or does Tal basically just say "these pieces belong on these squares to get a winning position, everything else can be sacrificed"
Yes.
@Tom Yes, I can absolutely verify that to be true! (Cause I´ve played him in the old days).
@@kristofferkarlsson4260 you've played Tal ?

Yes I can amazing talent Tal 😍😍
7:08 rook from g to f1 is actually winning faster since the only move left for black is to block with queen and after rock captures its checkmate
he can block it with his bishop in f5

Oh! I saw e5 is an option in the thumbnail. Yay I got it correct.
It is easy to resign when you have the extremely heavy Tal's artillery (major pieces) crushing you mercilessly. Just brilliant chess
at 7:06 he could have chessmated him with Rf1 or am I mistaken?
yes I thought so too.
Same I also thought that
Keta Bishop to f5 blocking check would come.
Yes, you are mistaken.
If Rf1 then Be5, and then white's best move will be Rh1 for exactly the reason Tal played it before.
200,000 views nice job
Tolush has some defending chops! I think most players would have resigned or gotten checkmated much sooner.
quote is completely matching the game
At 7:20 there’s a Rook f1 checkmate but he moves the queen diagonally one instead for that line
Nah Bf5 blocks it
The tal move: Sac queen?

I am wondering at 8:02, when Black rook captures the knight, why Tal didn't play forced checkmate by playing Rook takes at f8. (Rxf8, qxf8.. bxh7..kh8, qxf8#) 🙄🙄🙄
Kh8 isn't forced. After bxh7, the black King can escape to f7.
