Forgot to mention it in the video, but if you want to build a more gimmicky team that focuses on maxing out Heroic King stacks, Summer BB is your best support choice since she can card lock and generate continuous crit stars. Which should easily get Charlie to 9 stacks by itself.
It also helps if have someone that has target taunt

@@RickeyS-oe7hr To get to Traum you would need to clear Orleans, the six singularities that come after it, the final confrontation of arc 1, and all six lostbelts that have been released up to this point. I won't say it's outright impossible, but no sane person should attempt that.

Quick looping aside - the one thing I genuinely love about Charlie is the dynamic with his Paladins. All throughout Traum, Astolfo and Roland genuinely seem to love the guy as a peer or friend vs. the almost-godlike reverence Artoria's Knights of the Round have for her. Like I can actually see Charlie hanging out with his knights and having fun whereas Bedivere and Lancelot would weep tears of joy or sadness at the mention of Artoria.
One of the MANY reasons I prefer the Paladins to the Knights of the Round.

While the Paladin allusions aren’t deniable, his skill 1 is actually a translation of his Over the Royal Road skill from Extella Link, which mentions he gains buffs for doing something cool (protecting his allies) and suffers debuffs for doing something uncool (protecting himself).

I don't feel proud about chasing Charlie so hard. But at least I got him. Probably still going to use Okita Alter Summer more since I got her at NP2, but I think Charlie has his strengths.

i got double charlie and roland in one roll. i was actually rolling for kriem since her damage out put is a must against bosses.

Agreed! It's really neat when modern servant designs take into account the lore and history of the servant and implement them accordingly into the game. Makes you appreciate the vested interest the devs have in creating the characters, and not just focus on the gameplay aspect of it

If I remember correctly Charlie's NP Seal will also happen if he happens to have Invicible put on him like with Mash's Skill or Merlin's Illusion.
So you gotta make sure you use that skill BEFORE giving him Invincibility.
@@olivierdubreuil-gagnon2201his 1st skill has a 5 turn duration,right? Will his NP seal proc during those 5 turns if someone uses invul on him?
@@123armyoftwo I think it just checks on activation. Like when you first use the skill, it does a quick elif function. If no invul, including from the skill itself, buffs! Else, NP Seal.

I’ll try and roll for him with the GSSR as I need to save as many Saint quarts as possible to successfully get Skadi summer and Wu Zetian Caster on their banner.
Thank you, Oni, Charlie is very strong even before his buff that he gets later on. He's busted in both Arts and Quick thanks to his deck, he can generate C Stars like nobody's business as a Saber with only Summer Okitan capable of rivaling him and even then, outside of Sabers, his C Star generating is insane regardless. Plus, his Ascension Interlude is freaky.
i use saber okita with my caster skadi and im excited for summer skadi too

I have been waiting for Charlemagnes for a long time, I finally have him and at np 3 I am a bit tempted to go for more. Personally I don't think star absorb is an issue when his np generates so many stars but thats just me.
Like him in Extella. Hated how they used him in Traum.
I have yet to pull an AoE Quick Saber. Got two Rolands, though. Just add that to the Buster Saber pile... Quick Casters also seem to hate Me even after I pulled so hard for Daikokuten.
Got him with one multi the first day of Traum release and leveled him in the same day (level 80, Skills 8/8/8, 1000 extra HP & Atk)

Charlie's Heroic King gimmick is fix after his buff well NA needs to wait for 2 years but is really weird to use for now while Super Bunyan has a similar gimmick but is easier to use since hers was a Passive which activates after she attacks or gets attack. And I know that they have different playstyles but it is a bit surprising that they use similar NP gimmicks in a short span of time.
Went for kriemhild & got him in the first multi.
I was gunning for kreimhild but got spooked by him. Im still gonna keep rollfor her by using traum but giga chad quick saber is an awesome spook nonetheless

I'd have done so anyway, I loved his character in Extella Link and I especially love that he canonically has a skill that makes him more OP the more awesome he finds what he's doing.

Wouldnt Stars Day Off from the Water Monster event be a decent F2P CE option for Charlie? Assuming its Limit Broken, it gives 10% Effectiveness to both Quick and Arts, 8% NP Strength and 50% starting charge
New player here, I summoned charlie because he looked cool, currently I have Kriemhild, tamamo-no-mae, our paladin boy and jack the ripper, what should I try to pull on the upcoming banners? I am currently in Rome singularity, tbh I just want a team that can get me to get his 3rd Ascension cuz it looks dope.

Could you possibly pair Charlemagne with Ruler Moriarty? I just got Moriarty because the character looks cool, but when i played moriarty, his np made the enemies evil or applies an evil trait onto the enemies. I just started Fate Go 10 days back and I got Moriarty, Charlemagne, and Zhuge Liang as 5 stars.
What if you were rolling for Kriemhild, but Charlie said "You played Link? That's so cool!" and showed up twice?
And then Roland saw both Charlie and Astolfo there and decided he didn't want to be left out? And then Lakshmi decided that it would be too unlucky to get a 2nd Roland but no Kriem, and decided to spare you by showing up instead?
So now I have NP0 Kriem, NP2 Charlie, and my NP1 Summer Okitan is very conflicted feeling.
in another game his path of the king is based on coolness, how cool he thinks he is affects his stats. its a lot cooler to be the white knight and protects everyone than to prioritize yourself. at least thats how i interpret his skills.
A team of charle, kriem and summer skadi would probably work well.
Charle can keep kriem alive
Kriem can target focus charle for stacks and unga bunga with the stars
Summer skadi can support both
Also anything chaotic evil isn't going to last long
I really liked his character and I wanted to get him alongside Kriemhild... but my luck this year is definitely E Rank T_T Out of all the new Servants released so far, I only got Taisui and Hephaestion (Through 4* Ticket).. Kinda expected it since I somehow got Koyan, Oberon, Morgan, and all the Fae Knights last year so.. does anyone know how to reset Luck stats? T_T

Any plan for arcueid and xufu servant spotlight video? I mean, 7th anniversary is around the corner this weekend after you skipped moriaty ruler, zhang jue, don quixote, bakin and tametomo (and some others you skipped) 😢😢😢. Maybe you skipped some low tier servant, that is why there is no spotlight videos for them. 75-90% you will skip some summer 7 servant (like valk summer, erice avenger and gareth saber). I understand that your busy with real life stuff and that is ok. But lets hope this will give back on track...
Don't really think Charlie needs star absorb coz he usually generate 30+ stars consistently.

I HAD to roll him bc he looks like Guda and I thought that was fun and I never played Extella Link bc be serious.
He's niche but honestly? Even without any damage buff he's incredible. Like his skill is pretty good sets of perfect damage or defence.
Skill 1 is like the best design.
I failed him horribly. I didn't even get kriemhild. Spent about two packs which costs me abt 800$ in my currency with salary around 1.5 to 2k. That takes a huge hit. Spent abt 600+ SQ for him.
I have Okita Alter Saber NP 2 in my JP account, but a Charlie NP 1 is good already, even with supports? Just some curiosity.. :)
Okita Alter Saber is better for farming especially at NP2, but yes an NP1 Charlie with Skadi can farm most things. Might struggle with the 90+ nodes

I appreciate current charlemagne lovers, but i do wish we got the full father of europe version instead.
this man was hyped up to be some kinda powerful figure then turned out to be an immature version with a cavalier attitude which im sure some people think is cool but it's not for me.
How does having him at NP5 change the equation? I was rolling for Kriemhild and somehow got 5 copies of Charlemagne instead.
After his 1st skill buff his NP should hit for upgraded ST NP numbers if you do it correctly, so I'd say that this happy little accident trying to roll for a 4* is gonna end up aging well in the long run.
Don't forget, besides Summer Okitan, Charlemagne is pretty much your other potent Quick looping Saber around and his hitcounts are so barbaric they're almost always capping stars every other turn.

I kinda find it sad how he is featured on the right side of the banner and the beserker is featured on the left unlike the usual SSR being left and SR right. Meaning that kriem is probably better than the SSR lol
Does he perform well as a 90 node farmer with Caster Skadi comps? Does he need NP2 to really go over the numbers?
You'll want him NP2 for consistent lv90 node farming.
If you want a Skadi looper, just go fish for a Zerkerlot. Charlie here is the definition of rolling for love, not gameplay. He is arguably worse than Nobu avenger.
Please convince me Traum isn't just a good advertisement for Extella. I'm falling victim to the propaganda.

Charlamagne became an easy np5 without having to spend very much. He was more generous appearing than np2 Saber Okita Alter, and appeared more than Roland.
