I love this drama it shows empowerment for women .Even though they were against so much oppresion they still never caved into the pressure This may be a mans world but women still are strong enough to aspire to do great things and be succesful and notice these women stuck together and taught each other their skills.
Yes, be a strong woman, but stay virtuous and keep good Morals! Self respect, modesty, purity, know your self worth! God does not make junks.

It's wonderful when competing for the man isn't the main issue. The wife knew she was a political pawn to keep peace and her husband became her friend/project. And a concubine not interested in status, just peace and affection.
when they parted i cried bc they have such a good relationship this is the first time i have ever seen that and when li wei showed her respect for yuan ying it was so nice bc she still regards her as her teacher and her friend

Yes, women brings great men/women into the world. What a lofty vocation! What blessing! What privilege! Women must become Powerful and be Moral and Virtuous for a strong society and preservation of the human race! God ordained it so! I am 60 years old. I have had all 7 children. I miscarried 4 and kept 3 live births! I am also a Business owner entrepreneur, as well as a College Graduate and a Corporate Business Systems Analyst BSA Consultant. In my marriage of 34 years, one of us always stay home raising our children! Our children were involved with Piano lessons as early as 4 years of age, Tyquondo, Seyo, Baseball, Soccer, Competitive Ice skating, Dancing, Kumon, Vietnamese language classes, practicing Catholic Faith, Baptized, Confessed, Holy Communion, and Confirmed in their Faith. And now, my son finished college and is in his career, and my daughter is a professional finishing up her college degree, and the youngest daughter is working and finishing up her Nursing Degree. As a woman professional, I've made more $$ than many did. But I chose to stay home to nurture my children to competent adults. I work outside the home when my husband got lay offs from his Aviation industry. We took turns. But always, 1 of us is at home raising our children. Making a lot more $$ and let someone else or some other daycare raise our children was out of the question. Think hard on this choice. BTW, in my life and marriage, I have never fornication before marriage, used contraception, or even think of abortion aka murdering my own children in my womb. This is the calling of a Catholic woman, wife, and mother. And I love it with no regrets!

Save your purity for the man you are going to chose as your husband! All will be manageable on your life's journey. No chaos. No guilt. No regret.
You're a lunatic. Women, there is no such thing as purity. It's something men made up because they fear not knowing whether their partner's child is theirs, and they feared not being as good as previous partners. So they insisted women should only sleep with one person to ease their own minds. But frankly that's their own paranoid problem.
In the early days with little birth control and high maternal death rates in pregnancy, maybe this "dont have sex" idea made more sense, but in the modern world with a million ways to prevent pregnancy and STDs, it's not necessary. Just be smart and use protection. And never forget: purity is a made up concept to control women. If you don't want to have sex, don't. If you do, be careful. You only get one body so take care of it. Your physical and mental safety is what matters, not butthurt men angry that they might not live up to comparisons and pathetic women clinging to the status quo. Seek the truth, not outdated religious dogma.
