Fantastic, l am trying to learn as much as possible about Ethos so l can get it in the future. Great to have a fellow Aussie with so much knowledge to share. Also on mode one😊😊 Keep your videos coming please!!

Glad it is useful to you mate. Is there any topic in particular you would like me to cover?

Hi Joey, I have always used Jr then Futaba (my son was sponsered by Futaba on Helis) so I only learned what l had to for heli setups 10 - 15 years ago. I am amazed by Frsky and Ethos and want to get it when l get home in 18 months (currently doing the big lap) I have read about the switch quality not being the best, your thoughts would be appreciated, by looking at your planes I can see you have no problem with trusting the hardware in general and that gives me confidence. PS Heli setups are much more simple

No worries mate. I have been very successful flying both for fun and competitively with the gear. The TDR18 is the backbone of my fleet. My advice would be to always splash out that little bit extra on the TD receivers, I feel that they are simply the most bulletproof stand alone rx on the market.@@BrettDargue

Thanks so much for doing this video. I was wondering if you could a video with nose wheel steering and rudder? Where nose wheel steering is on Pot 1 (left knob) and also linked to rudder. That way rudder trim doesn't effect nose wheel or visa versa.

You could easily do this by creating a new mix, the source being the pot and the output being the rudder channel.

I'm a Pattern flyer here in the UK and that's pretty similar to my set up, the additions that I have to your set up here is I also have a spin condition, I fly mode 2 so my snap and spin are triggered off the elevator and aileron both being greater than X i.e. right stick near any of the four corners and if the throttle stick is greater than 25% it's a snap but if less than 25% it's a spin, I also have my snap condition working off the right stick only with a rudder offset (same as setting up the downline mix) so that I don't use the left stick at all in the snap, that does though use up a whole bunch of logic switches to cater for both +ve and -ve snaps upright and inverted, that is the best logic switch explanation yet that I've seen on U Tube.

That's awesome Philip, I have been looking to incorporate a spin condition into my setup. It is critical for us in IMAC to show pitch departure at the beginnning of a snap for it to be scored so that is why my solution is based on just the elevator.
I have evolved my setup to have idle (less than 25% throttle) Mid (25-75% throttle) and high (>75% throttle) unique snap conditions.
I think I need to work out a way to do my spin condition as it is the last switch I have to flick and it is annoying.
