  • Today I'm taking out a true slice of JDM goodness - a Nissan President. Never heard of one? Don't blame you, neither had I!
This was Nissan's top flight saloon for a long time, and when you get in, it is clear to see why. This is pure, old fashioned luxury.

Here in the US, the Nissan President was our third generation Infiniti Q45 luxury sedan. Only differences were the hood and grill, and trunk lid and rear bumper. The latter should have been on the Q45, as it would have made it a better seller.

The Nissan Cima in Japan was sold in the U.S as an Infinity Q45 with VK45DD pushing out 340hp. The Cima in Japan has a VK45DE with 280hp. Although very similar the President is not the same car and never badged as an Infinity. Both the Cima/Q45 and President are very rare in the UK as never sold here.
