Just came across this video. Been looking at mods for my C7 and started watching this video. To my surprise at the end the video shows the shop which looked familiar. So happens I work in the building right behind and hear cars reving up all the time. Didn’t even know you were local to my area. Great stuff.
The framerate flicker giving the tail lights that "demon eye" look is the icing on the cake with that sound. Kinda miss the old days when you could tell if your voltage was off or not by whether or not you could see on the way home.
Yeah the tell tale faint yellow headlight syndrome, when ya knew there was a problem. Have a great weekend Matt and stay safe, enjoy that fall foliage.
you did a wonderful job , you could say you did a perfect job , now regarding the exhaust sound i fu***** hate it , it sounds cheap , and basically it sounds like it was made from a stop sign metal tube .

Holy sh^t is the expression that came to mind when I first heard the AWE touring installed on my C7... with the stock x-pipe.... sounds even better in person! I would HIGHLY recommend this exhaust.. I love it! and the black tips look fantastic!!!
Im bouncing between the touring and the track. I have a grand sport with the performance exhaust with AfM and NPP valves, and its not nearly enough. I want to hear it when im not stomping on it cruising through town or down the highway. However we want to take all day rides with the car as well and dont want some obnoxious sounds wearing us down after hours of it either lol. Would you suggest the touring and is the level of sound enough of a difference from stock as idk of you have the performance exhaust to start with for comparison?
Hello Glen, I have a 2016 Corvette Stingray and It did not come with the NPP valves. I want to install the Stock system with the NPP valves but cannot find any information on that. I am guessing that the Electrical wiring is there, not sure where thinking that a different wiring for the NPP would be more expensive than just adding the NPP pipes on the assembly line. I have found some mufflers but cannot find the listings for the NPP solenoids or motors whatever they may be called. Liked your vid's they are good. thank you for any help you can give, Pete
Most likely your car has no harness for NPP valves or the computer module to operate it. The AWE exhaust is a very good and much more economical solution for a more aggressive exhaust sound.
Good question. I imagine if doing a sniff test it would but in this case there are no O2 sensors that far back, so no check engine light. Four cats will burn off more hydrocarbons than two. 👍
Sounds nice! I’m pretty happy with my optional GM performance exhaust. Quiet when I want it to be, gates of hell opened when the go fast pedal meets the floor. 😂
Okay Ozzy you may need to add into this video to make it even better what the vet sounded like before and then a road test idle cruising getting on it you know what I mean come on man that was my Joey impersonation LOL Trump 20/20 by the way

I have the same exhaust but my check engine light gets tripped now like 6 months later saying “cannot determine right or left valve location” any ideas what to do?
A well experienced mechanic can get within inch pounds with his ugga duggas. I haven't torqued a flywheel, clutch, or torque converter bolts in YEARS. Been 10yrs+ since I've had one come back for clutch chatter, or dented converter clutch.

The OEM X-pipe has secondary cats - not primary so 100% still road legal in every state!

Last time I checked, secondary cats aren’t monitored by the ECU/ O2 sensors 😉
@Tanner Needs Tacos on the C7 they are not but as far as emissions standards that's a whole other issue.

In person that AWE sounds great. Mild at idle and not too wild on acceleration.

didn't know oem pipes would work on the AWE mufflers. any leaks or anything? what is that document did you refer to?

No. I drive with my car in touring mode on rough road surfaces. Softens the suspension, no cracks no probs. 7600 miles so far.
