    I love it when Aisling does impression, although not as much as when Rachel Riley did an impression of her.

    In the case of Hungary, that's not the issue racism at all. This is a policy motivated by common sense. All possible data clearly indicate that most of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe that are in the European Union are much safer than the countries of Western Europe. Countries that are not affected by immigration from other continents and have less multicultural societies also have lower crime rates.

      It’s almost as if having homogeneous populations means you have homogeneous norms and shared culture, leading to less internal conflict. Weird how simple logic works.
      Also, Turkey realized that the majority of the western world has been in a population decline for the past 50 years. Financially incentivizing people to have more children is a great way to increase the birth rate to above simple replacement levels. It’s a great policy, and low iQ critiques like that of the panel of comedians are really reaching for anything to delegitimize it.

    I'm so happy to have found this series on TH-cam recently, but I wish there were captions for more accessibility. Can that be added soon, @binge?

    Alan was pointing out the flaw in what Nish said implying his mother was a quadruped. They should have been annoyed with Nish not Alan.
    Points to Alan for knowing the meaning if quadruped.

    The species name for giraffes is "camelopardis," or "spotted camel."

    Ok...question--which is the correct way to pronounce Alan's last name? I keep on hearing Davis and Davies (as in Da-veez). Any particular reason why this is so. I hear the same thing with Greg Davis' last name as well.

      It's all a matter of accent, but, just like Ray Davies and Dave Davies, it's basically the same as an American would say the surname "Davis". Saying it like "Davy's" (like Davy Crockett) might suggest you're a yank -- though at the same time, a more antipodean accent might pronounce both Davis and Davies the same as "Davy's". For a much more in depth discussion, look up the wikipedia article: "Phonological history of English close front vowels"

      @@kps2420 No, Americans and North Americans say it the way it's spelled. Or, more importantly, we say it the way the person pronounces himself. If we ever heard Alan or Greg say their own names, we'd accept that as definitive.

    Quadripeds that can't swim: hippos, they walk at the bottom of rivers, they are too dense to swim.
    Some apes can swim. Humans are apes...

    It can be viewed as racism, but in fact is a good way to increase the population of a country. We have to remind that the way that we're are managing the lack of peoplle is from immigration but that people is still necessary for their home countries to improve. So we are just maintaing us, destroying countries and also taking things for their countries

    What a weird show. Is this just for people who aren't sober? What's the purpose of the buzzer? Why is Sandy just reading random Google searches?

    • @dhwyll
      @dhwyll ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Do you not know what "QI" stands for?
      The point of the show, like so many other British panel shows, is to have four comedians on to riff for a while. The "quite interesting" bits that Sandy (and Stephen Fry previously) read out are just excuses to give the comedians something to be funny about.
