I just ordered 2024 Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro (non Explorer version) red version. Cannot wait. All the reviews are saying its amazing. I had test ride with it and felt amazing (im 6 foot 2) Sold my Streetfighter V4S for this so its quite a switch but I feel like I am now at a age where I need something comfortable and not rocket fast :)
I’ve got 2023 1200 gt pro and i can say that on a recent trip to Scotland we rode back from fort William back to south wales 500 mile day with no aches or pains.
You guys have some of most lovely roads in the UK ! I'd love to tour the UK with a local, so that I don't get my ass kicked by being on the wrong side of the road!
Hi I have had my 1200 GT Pro for 2 years now and no issues with it whatsoever. love the bike and since they did the upgrade to lower the suspension in October last year it's even better
Mine did the same with the clutch slipping in the higher gears when giving the throttle a hard twist. There is a short mechanical linkage on top of the clutch housing. The hydraulic clutch activates this linkage that is between the hydraulic slave cylinder and the clutch shaft. Anyway, the linkage was too tight and needed adjustment. Wasn’t letting the clutch plate fully engage. Easy adjustment that SHOULD be checked by the selling dealer. 7:40
I have the XC800 and it puts nothing but a smile on my face when I ride it. I'm sure the 1200 comes in a fair bit less expensive than the BMW as well, which helps pay for the tours. It looks like an awesome bike, love the whole layout and colour scheme as well.
I have just bought a new 1200 GT Explorer. I had a 2022 GT Explorer which was plagued with unreliability, but when it worked was a fantastic bike. I did a tour in Europe on it and it was just brilliant. I got so sick of the reliability issues though that I complained to Triumph who, in fairness to them, compensated me. Also, having looked at the forums, it seemed as though I had been unfortunate and had had every known issue, all on my one bike. Most people seemed pretty happy with theirs. So, I've decided to give it another go and bought the updated model which has some of the issues ironed out (I'm told). So far so good.
Love the upgrades, especially a smoother engine, but 2024's NOT available in US, except EXPLORERs, which I do not want. Bought a 2024 900 instead and it is a BIG improvement in power and smoothness compared to the 2020 I had.
@seanheadley7090 it should be a simple adjustment that should have been caught on the pre delivery inspection. When you get yours, check the metal arm on top of the clutch cover. It should have about 1/8" of play. If it doesn't, get it sorted before you ride it away.
My thoughts exactly. I mentioned it but edited it out ws I wasn't sure. I think it's a known recall and sorted at a service bulletin but again wasn't sure
@@paulmedcalf8149I've just read several threads on this issue on this engine. I am surprised the dealer let this demo out with the issue. It's kind of put me off the bike to be honest
Why did the dealership let that bike out with a poorly adjusted clutch? It definitely sounds like it's slipping. They should've taken it out first, like they should with every bike, prior to delivery. 🤦♂️
Last year I met up with a friend for a few days riding in the Pyrenees. He came on his 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro. He had owned it for about a year but was talking about trading it in. He had several issues with it, most to do with quality. When we met up later in the year the Triumph had gone and he had a new Ducati Multistrada. As he has had at least one Triumph in his garage for over 20 years I was surprised but he was really disappointed with the 1200 Tiger. He lost more in depreciation selling it after a year than my bike had cost.

Too many early problems with this bike. Triumph should never have released it (t-plane version) when they did. Seems they have sorted out or covered up most of the issues now. If so, thats good.

Fingers crossed it works out. Sounds like your previous bike was a Friday bike
@@UneasyRider Cheers! Yes, that's what I concluded!

The GT Pro is a great bike and such fun to ride. Thanks for watching
Sounds like the clutch is slipping?
Yep I thought so too. Shame.
@@paulmedcalf8149 hope not, I just bought one, due this or next week

What are the Revs at 75 mph?
I took one of these out last weekend and loved it.
My only comment on your vid would be on hard acceleration it sounded like the clutch was slipping?

I tried to book a demo, they said it was off the road, clutch slipping??

Nice bike. I enjoyed your review. Recently I rode the GS, can check it. Cheers. :)
Clutch is slipping innit?
Damn right it was but only in high gears

With a high mounted exhaust not doable for pillions shame as otherwise excellent bike.10/4.
I didn't think of that!
That's absolutely untrue. My wife and I are two up all the time. I showed my wife your comment and she has no idea what you're getting at.
