Distractions (The Waiting Game)

Time is money. In particular, your time is their money, and the more of it they can entice you into wasting, the more profit they can make off of you.
Distraction is their business model. And they will follow it ruthlessly to the letter. They will call you a fool, call you a prodigy, and level any and every compliment and insult in between, all to provoke you into clicking just one more useless link, and learning just one more pointless piece of trivia.
In such a world, having a ravenous appetite for knowledge will be your greatest weakness, and will leave you at their mercy, lining their pockets while you languish in ignorance and obscurity. And if you desire freedom, that is the one singular habit you must relinquish.
