I'm a Mopar guy but can appreciate all the old classics. I borrowed my grandfathers 1961 Pontiac Laurentian to go for my drivers test when I was 16 in Winnipeg, it was a 4 door with the 6, automatic, standard steering and standard brakes but ran like a top and was a beauty. Your 61 you are working on is going to be a nice driver when you are done.

Hi Penny's Crew , look at all them Pontiacs ! I recall the 1st time I saw the '55 at the Garden City Car Show . So glad to see the '35 Coupe out again ...all time favorite . AS SOON AS YOU SEE IT YOU KNOW IT'S A HOT ROD . The '55 two door post ....you can't go wrong with that either !

Don't forget the standard shift Z BAR and the ball piece on the frame to which the bar rotates between frame and block.

I've always been a big fan of Pontiacs. The 61 is my favorite. But I would take anything from 55 to 62. Thanks for sharing your collection. 👍

You guys have access to, and own, some beautiful cars. Amazing how different the cars are down here in the States compared to what you get up there. Once again, great content. Thanks.

My dad's first car was that identical '63 Parisienne. I've been hunting for one since he passed away. My current build is well on its way but would sell it in a heartbeat in order to fulfill that dream. I'm local to you guys and would love to come and see the car if ever possible. Love your content guys! Cheers!

👍Good video! Shouldn’t be selling yourselves & channel short. You guys are doing a good job w/ the content & we viewers appreciate it. Really a good channel. Myself, being in lower US state hardly ever get to see very many Canadian editions unless I search specifics. Keep up the filming!!! You guys are doing great.
    Nice collection indeed!

Pontiac 261 was supplied by GMC truck division. A 283 or 327 V8 from the time would work (see what Iowaclassic cars is doing with their IMpalas ) to get more power. Love the Canadian Pontiacs. Also watch Rare Classic Cars, he has a mint 1959 Parisienne and describes it history at length

Interesting tour of Canadian Pontiacs, the '60 two door wagon is very cool. We don't see the Canadian models very often in the states but they do turn up time to time. I have a '61 Bonneville so you can guess which of yours is my favorite.

Great collection fellas. I started working on my first car which is a 64 Bonneville, I just got it running for the first time since 96. I'm missing the linkage for the transmission selector & the bell crank to the trans. From what I'm finding it's a "slim jim" trans. So if anyone has a linkage or the piece that goes to the selector on the trans let me know. Thanx guys.

    • @kevinbrown559
      @kevinbrown559 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

On the dash the shifter pointer goes
P N D S L R- hopefully that will hope with identifying the trans. Again if anyone is selling the parts or can send me in the right direction I would appreciate. Thanx again.

Hey Cory I agree with you on the 60' pontiac has a much nicer body style than the 59'. My favorite pontiacs are from 55'- 58' and then from 60'- 69' .

I love the 2 door wagon but not the inline 6. INMO I would yank it out and put it in the 59 to get it running. Then find a
good running 455 4bbl for the wagon. Wouldn't that be fun ripping up the streets with a hot rod station wagon with
dual exhaust and loud cherry bombs ;-) ... At 18:21 is that a Chrysler Imperial behind you? I can believe a wagon
as big as that Safari only has a 283 in it. In the states the wagons usually got a nice big block. Regards from Ody Slim

Great collection of Pontiacs! GM made a HUGE mistake killing Pontiac off in favor of Buick in my opinion. BTW, the guy says at 6:44 "US Pontiacs were bigger I believe?" No sir, GM cars are GM cars haha, Pontiacs in the US have same wheel base etc as Pontiacs everywhere, there may be minor trim and grill differences , but a US Pontiac/Chevrolet/ and asst other GM cars are the same size every where.
