- Ginger, a staple in culinary and traditional medicine for over 5,000 years, is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, offering potential benefits for ailments like arthritis, liver disease, and cardiovascular issues. Its effectiveness extends beyond digestive health, with studies exploring its role in managing inflammatory conditions such as ulcerative colitis and lupus, and revealing its key compounds, gingerols, responsible for these health benefits. Clinical research demonstrates ginger's ability to reduce pain and improve mobility in arthritis patients, and its potential in managing metabolic health issues like type 2 diabetes by lowering blood sugar and blood pressure. While ginger offers a range of health benefits, it should be used as a supplementary treatment in moderation, and its effectiveness can be optimized through consistent use in various forms like fresh ginger, tea, or supplements.

► Things my patients have found helpful:
Please note that I get a lot of requests and questions about what equipment is ‘best’ for treating a variety of conditions. The following is not meant to be an exhaustive or definitive list. Please use it as a starting point. If you have questions, please discuss with your healthcare provider. With that said, I have tried a number of the products below, but not all. I have included some based on positive feedback from many of my patients. As an Amazon Associate, Dr Peng earns from qualifying purchases. I have IBS. My system was totally out of control. It was so out of control that I went 4 days without eating before an important appointment one time.
I knew I needed answers.
I had lived in The Philippines for 8 years. I knew that hospitals would keep Arroz Caldo, a chicken, rice and ginger soup, on slow boil because it is so good for stomach issues. I had made for people coming off the flu before and they said it was just what they needed.
I now eat it every day. That tea, roasted potatoes, baked chicken, and bananas. I eat saltine crackers to fill in the gaps so I don’t get hungry.
I have my life back!
Arroz Caldo is really easy to make in an Instant Pot. There are tons of recipes out there on TH-cam.
I just do chicken, rice, a thumb size piece of fresh ginger, salt pepper and garlic if they ask you to use different ingredients.
My daughter ask for it when she was coming home on leave when she was in the military.
It is also available in Thai Restaurants. I think they call it chicken and rice soup.
Mine is:
1 lb package chicken breast
1 thumb size piece of fresh ginger, peeled.
1 cup uncooked rice
4 cups water
Salt, pepper, garlic to taste
Cook in instant pot for thirty.. minutes. Mine is using porridge setting
Let cool for 10 minutes.
Shred the chicken
Stir.
With not able to eat vegetables and rice not being very good for you, I know my rice has ginger in it to me.
I made this for my neighbor and said “ how did you make this?
It is absolutely delicious
This also freezes well

I make ginger tea all throughout the day by chopping small pieces of ginger and boiling them in water for a few minutes. I always chew and eat the pieces after my tea. It gives me very fresh breath and has really helped me lose some extra weight. Ginger is amazing. Thank you God for your great imagination and thank you Dr, you're amazing too and doing great work with your life. We all appreciate it. 🙏🕊
I am making a drink containing steeped ginger water, lemon juice, and acv. It's supposed to help with thirst.
I have crohns colitis and I can confirm it turns a fiery angry stomach into a calm stomach.
Thanks for sharing!
Check out his other video on francencense for crohns.
I drink it every morning in my chai that I make with extra ginger!😊

Is this guy a real doctor or just a TH-cam personality?
He’s a sport médecine doctor. You can see it in his bio
Ha! I'm a practicing physician :)
Medical information is hard to parse through. Clinical trials are even harder to understand. I'm just trying to do my part to spread knowledge to the masses.
