well, if you're a true hindu believer, shouldn't you be supportive towards any religion practices, especially when there's thousands of god in hinduism, shiva, maa shakti, hanuman and all the avatars and counting and different practices in rituals and puja...... religion practices take many forms, whether is it praying for luck, fortune or anything, I truly believe the god will salvage or rescue their devotees from any situation. I felt as a singaporean, Hinduism is most beautiful religion, believe in one god Brahman but manifested in many forms.
Why do People go to wedding & dance? To celebrate the best day of the wedding couple. Same here. This Chinese people pray to Durga (Hindu Goddess). They dance to make Durga Happy as a Celebration day. They paint their faces to represent various Goddess in Hinduism. Every lady have same status as Goddesses... Be it Kuan yin or Mother Mary. Females deserve alot respect that's why we say "Mother earth". Typhoon hurricanes have lady names. Its easy to judge if we have lack of understanding. If we understand we won't judge.

I know shifu and shijie for almost 15yrs ..this few years busy with work never go down to pray...but i will never forget how they help me last time...
